I just spoke to Captain Obvious and he told me our bullpen is bad.

 

At this point I'll be happy if we just score one more run so Sproat doesn't get the loss. He doesn't deserve going out that way.

 

Maybe Sully learned a lesson about pulling his guy with this pen we have. This was a horrible decision, especially with a guy that hasn’t been close to finding the plate in a couple weeks .
Might go down as his biggest blunder

He deserves the hit ! Nobody is hating .

 

Us scoring a run won't keep him from getting the loss. His runner scored the go ahead run and unless we tie the game he'll be the losing pitcher. Pretty sure of that.

If that’s his MO then why not pull Abner after 1 or 2 walks? I agree with you typically but let Sproat finish inning or pull Abner after he starts walking guys. Slater, Nesbitt, whoever you gotta go to to get 1 out. We don’t understand why not giving Sproat one more batter. We don’t get why Abner gets so much more leeway
