Maybe put Heymen in at left field, Langford looks like he needs more rest.

Great post, often times it just takes time especially like you said when you’ve been a starter

I mentioned yesterday that Pen has been big lately. Some of that is about opportunity as an example look at Arroyo. He may just have gotten healthy and what a big boost he could be

Yeah, it’s amazing as some people just think you can throw anybody in any position… Most catchers can play first or third but occasionally will run into one that is athletic enough to play somewhere else. I would be shocked to see Heyman anywhere but DH or catcher

Big difference between first base in putting a catcher in the outfield

I saw him standing in front of the dugout yesterday-he looked like he had just finished eating a whole big bag of Skittles….

Not so sure that most catchers could play first or third.

But after watching Moneyball a MLB (Athletics) team did convert a catcher that could no longer throw into a guy playing first that never before played the position before.

    Pretty awesome.

Great movie and a great story.

We should play Fabian at 3rd base for a few innings... mid-week.

Sure glad Sully didn't try Langford in the outfield, oh wait.....
I know, that one is the exception to the norm.

Shelnut and Thomas are seemingly ahead of him there.

Great weekend by the Gators, so much good to talk about, other than the starting pitchers. The bats were consistent all weekend. Cags woke up from his off week. Defense has a few things to clean up but some great plays by our outfield over the 3 games. I'm glad everyone finally got to see the potential of Heyman we have been talking about before the season. Hopefully Sully starts leaning more on Heyman and Prevesk. I'll do a deep dive on the stats later this evening on the other thread when they get uploaded. Thanks Gal04 for another great weekend taking care of the game threads.

Heyman was early projected a 2, 3 rounder and potentially a first rounder.

He told scouts he was headed for school and...here he is. To our delight.

Exact same story for Tejeda. We got two studs.
