Worst pitching staff I’ve seen ever.

 

Very few bright spots on this team, not sure if it is talent, coaching or player development or what, but it seems like we need a complete rebuild.

 

Can you spell snake bit?

 

Softball is almost in the same position pitching wise … Most often u can’t depend on freshman to get the job done …

 

I turned it off when we walked the leadoff in the 9th. Was hoping that I was bad luck. Seems this staff can blow it in the 9th with or without me.

 

I feel for Heyman, he played lights out today and his defense is much improved this year. BT taught him well. Sit Donay down permanently, he is swinging at bad pitches just like last year, I know he is a power guy but dang. Maybe the extra rest they will get this weekend, they will have a come to JESUS players- only meeting. This will be a very short season. They need a new pitching coach at least. At least the last two L's have been close. I do like the lineup today better. I would think Sully is going to have to pick a bingo card lineup and stick with it so they get the reps. This is just Heartbreaking!

 

Well, we just came back from the college World Series and we have a good bit of money. You would think the college World Series thing would play into it big time

Your job as a coach is to work with your team come hell or high water. A coach should never quit on his team.

 

It's not quitting....it's a learning lesson. These kids need some tough love from where I sit.....coach can't bail them out, they have to fight thru it

I don’t think snake bit. I think they struck out in the portal and that is a crushing blow. No pitching from portal. No hitting from the portal. Combo your Cyr and Nadeau money and get a star. Take your Jones and Nadeau money and get a starting pitcher. Much better off with 2 really good impact players. Than 4-5 average to below average players.
No execution.

Tough love comes off the field not during a game

 

I absolutely believe it's both....and know a lot of veteran baseball coaches that agree with me (and have done it)
Was just talking with 74nole, who is a veteran pitching coach and we shared in game stories of these type lessons.
Obviously it's not something you can do a lot....but it can be effective in an extreme situation, which is pretty much where uf is

 

it seems where this baseball team is right now is panicked. so now they’re pressing it’s my belief that making them more uptight is not gonna change what’s happening out there. Let’s hope they can turn it around to some degree. It wouldn’t hurt if they had some leadership from within the team, but that seems to be lacking as well.

 

I read it so it must be true—oh, wait—that’s the internet…

 

And the guy that provides most of the actual money has said it's limited and we don't have what some of our competitors do
