If Fisher sees the mound tmr we are in deep trouble. He doesn't have it this year.

If we want to advance we are going to need both Fisher Jameson and Cade Fisher

To advance into the tournament chances are we’re going to need everyone on the staff to show up wearing their big boy britches……

I feel like I could count on one hand the number of timely hits when it matters most between Shelton and Heyman during the months of April and May. And that might be stretching it. It seems most of their hits since end of March are with no one on base or rarely produce runs. If they wake up from their slump then walking Cags would be hard to do.

Fisher Jameson yes. I think we can advance without Cade Fisher stepping on the mound.

I would move Shelton down in order. Outside of one game, the guy just hasn't been clutch with his hitting.

Im clearly in the minority, but I’m going to stick up for Shelton a bit today. He had that nice single. And then he had a few crushed foul balls. Now of course those don’t count, but it suggests that he is close. In this sport the best hitters can go 0-4 with regularity. Of course I’d like him to do better, but he’s still a dangerous weapon. And we aren’t overwhelmed with 0.300+ hitters at this point.

Which is why I would go with the hot bat. Shelton hasn't been hot since early March.

Certainly without Evans in the lineup Sully must feel he has few other options that he can count on. Sure, Wilson had a great day but his numbers have been up and down with so few at bats. Obviously Sully felt impressed enough to put him in the leadoff just a few weeks ago. It will be interesting to see what lineup Sully goes with tomorrow. I don't care who hits where as long as Cags gets more support.

Not much clutch hitting, but every starter with at least 1 hit. Mr Wilson was the man today and Kurland got us off to a great start. Defense was solid.

Props to the pitchers, 4 walks, no hbp and 9 Ks given the strike zone that's pretty good. Peterson clearly looks like next year's Fri night guy. Better every time out.

I meant Jameson. He’s been a pleasant surprise. When you throw 19 pitches one day you would be good the next day and he definitely could be needed tonight.

i am pretty sure I remember Heyman having a timely hit in the most important game of the year.....in Athens. I believe it was a 3 run HR in the top of the 10th. And had 4 rbi's in game 3 the next day.

Yes that's the one for Heyman I remember as well. And for Shelton he had a big HR a few weeks back against Tennessee that was his first in almost a month and then the 2 HR game at Georgia. But other than the Georgia or Kentucky series they just don't seem to knock in many runs especially when they are batting in the 3rd and 4th spot. Heyman got moved down a few weeks back and it seemed to trigger his productivity. I just wish Sully would try some other guys like Wilson higher in the order to shake it up some.
