Baseball at Miami, Sat 3/2, 3:00 pm

Welp, we got work to do against another really good pitcher.

Again, not capitalizing the first inning or even just moving runners over could really come back to haunt us if we are going to be a really good team this year

 

Can we possibly rewind the clock and start this day over?? Softball gets run-rruled by an average Michigan team, Men's BB falls apart down the stretch and loses @ South Carolina, and now this start to baseball. At least with baseball, we've got 8 innings left.

 

21 pitch first inning

hoping he gets through four today, but cannot keep throwing these guys cute curveballs and sliders. Gotta go right at them and spot the fastball. Once he spots that fastball down forget it.

Weird pitch calls early to first two hitters with not attacking w fastball.

 

Hopefully we get it together. Ugly first inning, and not just pitching wise… We left a run if not two on the board the way we started off the inning but again we are swinging for the downs and instead of trying to make contact

 

Going to be a long day if we do not try to go the other way

Our hitters are expanding Earl’s strike zone for him. We don’t need to do that.

 

Like to see bunt for hits today if this keeps up.
Want to see Garrison at catcher too. He’s that good defensively.

 

They look unprepared. Bats on shoulders don’t hit strikes. Think back to Heyman and Shelnut at bats. They both let two strikes go by
