Watching the game, I didnt realize we outhit the canes as they had 10 runs on only 7 hits. Too many free passes and some timely hitting from Miami.
Heres hoping Cags is on Sunday and we don't gift them an early lead.

The announcers were saying that the hitter has to be in the box and “engaged” with the pitcher (eye contact) and ready to receive the pitch at 8 seconds on the clock……

The obvious argument is for me is the clock running on the hitter ( in the box) if the pitcher is not engaged on the rubber to deliver his pitch—and what about the pitcher’s clock—when does it start? Does he have to be engaged with the hitter?

I’m guessing that the answer is multiple interpretations—depending on how many people are asked.

Let's see how Thomas does this week before we know he's found his mojo. Playing with emotions can be an up and down battle to produce day after day. I agree he deserves another start on Sunday at this point. The lineup got 10 hits and scored 6 runs. That's usually good enough unless you're pitching mainly true freshman on the road.

    87—

Regardless of our lineup and its production our pitching has got to really trim down the free passes. The defense is put in a bad position every time we walk hitters. Pitching needs to be a priority and a strength—not an achilles heel….

No truer words... quality pitching essential. Free passes, contributing to 10 runs against this average Miami team has to be cleaned up. SEC comp. on the horizon and we absoluetly have to get better on the mound.

Agree 87, mojo is a fleeting commodity, as we all know. But today, Thomas had it....

2 starts so far for ucf vs Samford and usf. ERA over 7.
Would I like him on our staff and believe he could help? Yes.
Saying we win this game today with him? Absurd
