He’s still favoring that right hand. Went out of his way to hit the third base coach with his left after the hr.

 

Try and listen to any comments by Sully after the game. Away game is always uncertain if we get much from Sully.
My guess Kurland is still dealing with some swelling on his catching hand and they don't need a baseball popping that spot in his glove.

 

Slater being Slater. Dude has been good for a while.

 

It’s his right hand that’s hurt.

 

Just what Sully needs if Slater can get a few more outs in the 8th and set up Neely to bring home the win if needed.
Hopefully we pile on a few more either way.

I heard Sully in a PC say he still had swelling but was taking batting practice on Thursday to test it out. So I assume the swelling is still an issue.

Not disagreeing with that, but it’s his throwing hand, not his glove hand.

My mistake, I was trying to figure the mechanics with him not playing. I guess it works as well trying to grip the ball in between innings practicing his throws to first.

 

Too bad that swing call on Shelnut cannot be reviewed. That was so obvious.
