At the time he/she was technically correct. Offense was sleepwalking until today.

We beat LSU for the title in 2017. After we beat them again tomorrow night, we'll be living rent-free in their heads forever, like we do in basketball with UCLA.

4 days rest is fairly normal in pro ball. College starters go once a week and so normally get 6 days rest between starts.

Has anyone who if Abner is OK? Before Saturday's game I think I read where he was ill and unavailable.

Eventually found it then lost another which was also eventually found. All good when your baseball team scores three touchdowns and a field goal. Shame we gave up those two safeties though.

Now let me see if I can get this right—y’all are trying to guess what the Corndogs are gonna do with their pitching tomorrow night right after they had that fat a$$ spanked in front of their fans, the LSU employed ESPN TVcrew, and anyone else that they could hem up to praise them…

I don’t think they have a clue how they’re gonna set their pitching up yet. It’ll take a lot of hooch to make that decision, much less all the strategizing involved—they still haven’t figured out what happened to them today.

Skenes has his entire professional future in front of him. If he’s asked by their coach you can expect him to say “hell yeah coach I can go” and then his advisor about to be his agent will say to him “have you lost your ever loving f**king mind?”

Then they’ll play it up for all it’s worth and I would think at the most he would throw a couple of innings, but if the MLB organization that he is dealing with plays all of their cards he may very well have a different decision.

I don’t honestly think anybody knows yet.

So even though he’s a beast his arm is probably stressed and then there’s his entire future thing. I feel better but I’d still like to see our boys put up 24 again lol.

At the time I thought let Fic finish it no matter what so Slater is full go tomorrow. If Cags struggles again Slater will have to be ready to chew thru some innings. I presume no Abner at this point so Sully will go back to Fisher and Neely for what ever he can get out of them. Have to hope Cags surprises us and goes 6. If Cags is done early I wouldn't be surprised if Purnell gets another chance for a few ground balls if needed.

Need a toddler free zone to watch tomorrow. Don’t wanna go to a bar so I’m gonna hit up my old lady neighbor. Hopefully she doesn’t have some card game set up with her old lady friends.

This is why I think Sully wanted to send a message scoring so may runs hoping their fans would leave early and their players would be remembering that when they try to sleep.

Can Cags positive offensive day carry over into a great pitching performance? Good headspace and all?

Yes 4 days in common in pro ball, but this will be 3 days rest, AND he is coming off a 120+ plus pitch appearance that was on only 4 days rest. His pitch count was somewhere near 120 in that one too (his 1st CWS start).

I can see them starting him and letting him go maybe 3 innings. He has never pitched out of the bullpen.

A 20 run win sandwiched between two 1 run losses in extra innings is a version of hell to be avoided at all costs.
