Baseball at LSU, Sun 3/24, 3:00 pm EDT

LSU pitcher Thatcher Hurd was the winning pitcher for CWS final against UF.
Hurd pitched 6.0 innings
Allowing just 2 hits and 2 runs
Walked 2 and strike out 7..
He dominated the game and now we have a revisit as Jac takes the mound.
Hurd was spotty at best most of the 2023 season. He caught fire in the CWS.

Here’s hoping for a much different outcome.

Anyone know why they start their Sunday games so late. I know it’s 2:00 their time but even that is at least an hour later than most Sunday games.

Sully experimented with the lineup in game 2. I hope he makes a change back in CF. Landon Russell was hitless last night and is hitting .077.

I hope we see Michael Robertson back in CF as he is probably our best defensive CF plus he is hitting .264. Jaylen Guy is hitting .200.

Low tide at 2:30 pm so (weather permitting) am gonna go for a nice bike ride on the beach and then be back to relax and enjoy the rest of the game.

Yep, seems like Mikey is not getting his shot to compete. I feel confident once he knocks the rust off that he will put bat on ball and play excellent centerfield. Gotta also remember hasn’t had an at bat in a while. I feel like he’s in a tough spot because if he comes in and doesn’t hit the ball his first two times up, I feel like Sully will pull him and at the same time like I said, tough to just come right in after not playing and do well.

 

LSU fans always want the games as late as possible so the fans are as rowdy as possible. Coming off two late nights in a row, it's gonna take some time for those bloodies to kick in.
