Baseball Around the SEC, Week 6 (3/23 - 3/29/23)

Well on their way to 17.. SC next week. at home at least
Geez SC first 3 sec series mizz, ug, msu,,, bout as good as it gets.. even w/ Mizz looking decent. Uga talent a lot better than record too , they hit as good as anyone both per stats and my eyes lol Rotation ok too. should of won all 3 at AU,,they dont execute the little things very well it seems

 

FSU and Miami both got swept this weekend. They meet next weekend, unfortunately someone has to win.

 

What's your prognostication for AU's upcoming weekend series?

 

Should be a 'good' 19 1/2 innings of baseball.

I would be using best pitchers Tues vs 7-17 N Alabama if Im the HC.. make sure you get a win this week.. not joking in least on that.
Only way they get a win in gville is if score 10+ and still 50-50

 

Only if they decide to not put it on app. lol and would probably still just listen.

Not a big fan of leaving the house.

 

Softball the following weekend should be interesting,, very similar teams, one has dominant ace, but Dean might use her to close first 2 like vs UGa,, Not start and K 17 like vs Mizzu friday..lol who knows w. that ding bat.

 

Halfway thru the game W Kentucky at home is up on UK 3-0 on a 1 hitter so far. I guess WKU is taking this one seriously. In the bottom of the 5th WKU has bases loaded with 1 out. Somebody tell GatorGal this one is getting interesting.

 

So much for that, UK just scored 6 runs with a grand slam in the top of the 7th to go up 6-4. Maybe next time WKU.

 

Ole Miss bailed out of another potential mid week loss. The LaTech fiasco earlier in year. Now last night in Pearl at AA facility, down 2-1 in 4th and field becomes unplayable..lol Nothing happened after start of game, like more rain, so it was as unplayable to start as in 4th... And in 4th ..not 1 more inning for official game..lol

 

After this past weekend, maybe they ran out of pitchers and that made the game "unplayable".

 

Timing is everything, huh?

 

Seems weird but how did they bail out? It wasnt their home field and I thought the umps made the call?

 

and umps calls have never bailed out a baseball team?? lol

honestly i used same wording as the article I read.. call it whatever you choose. Only needed 1 more inning for official game, down 2-1, on same field they played first 4 innings..hmmm??

But Rebs were getting rpi boost win or lose, so pretty dumb if they were involved in the call. Especially coming from same team that cancelled game last year only to protect rpi. Where they finished 8th btw AFTER Omaha tourney.

 

Just need one of those 16 run innings they had last game.. killing my rpi btw
