It's one method Trump's brownshirts use to cast doubt on our elections. It's right out of the fascist playbook.

My wife and I dropped our mail-in ballots at the Supervisor of Elections drop box INSIDE their office. It's worth the drive to ensure our ballots arrive intact and on time.

Serious question, if you’re doing that anyways, what’s the point in having requested a mail ballot instead of just doing in-person early voting?

I’m genuinely curious - while I’m usually an Election Day voter, I did in-person early voting this year, and it seems to me like I’ve got much more piece of mind having seen the poll worker verify my ID and signature, and watched the counter on the ballot machine go up when I inserted my ballot, than I would from dropping a mail ballot in a box in the supervisor of elections’ lobby and just assuming that it ultimately gets counted.

We have the ballots for a few days, allowing us time to consider the pros and cons of six Florida Constitutional amendments and research some of the more obscure down ballot candidates. In the end, we fill them out and deliver them when we're inclined to do so. Simple, safe and secure. Also, there is a system to verify your ballot has been received and accepted.

EDIT: I just called the Supervisor of Elections and confirmed that our two ballots were received and accepted on Oct. 22.

This system also allows my wife's 98 year old mother to vote from home. We delivered her ballot along with ours.

Curious on your stance on AD 5/6?

Huh, in Oregon they email and text you when your ballot was sent to you and then once received back and counted. No need to proactively call.

These boxes... are they state paid for and placed by the state? Or is this third party people (like the Zuckerberg boxes in 2020) putting these boxes up all over the area? One is legal, and the other one is shady at best and illegal at worst.

What a stupid comment. One could just as easily burn down your voting precinct.

These are state polling boxes. Oregon and Washington install them all over the place to make it easier to vote.

Anyone who doesn't vote for Trump isn't even an American in their view anyway.

Could be more about the local elections/issues on the ballot.

The TV news had a photo of the suspect’s car - Volvo. Might not take long to catch the culprit.

    Good.

I assume if caught this would carry a hefty jail sentence for the perp (I.e. not mere vandalism).

Sounds like a democrat scheme to give them even more flexibility with the voting.
