With 8 minutes left to play, Milwaukee had only 26 points! Awesome Gator defense!

Defense is a mindset. You either have it or you don’t. And as our offense rounds into shape, our defense will win us games. In years past, White tried to preach defense to a bunch of guys who just didn’t have the mindset. Everything suffered.

This year will be much more fun. Three games, three excellent defensive performances.

    McKissic 7 pts, 7 rebs, 2 assists
    Jones 7 pts, 4 reb’s, 1 steal, 5 assists
    Fleming 12 pts, 2 reb’s, 2 assists, 1 blk
    Felder 3 pts, 4 reb’s, 2 assists, 2 blk’s, 1 steal

I guess the transfers are doing the dirty work!
This team is bringing their lunch pail
and eating the other teams too!

Nice! The nasty boys went to work!

Who is UF’s defensive coordinator? Is he busy this Saturday?

It's great to see the defensive effort. That kind of attitude can keep us in those games when shots aren't falling on the offensive end.

Watching the replay of the Milwaukee game, in addition to the defense I was also struck by how many of our guys are rocking long hair. If we continue to have success this season, we are a haircare product NIL gold mine waiting to happen.

Lol..funny I was at UF during that time and was good friends with the girl that used to braid his hair. Kind of funny seeing that dude sit on the floor while she was doing his hair.. Those were the days of just going to class and chasing women around campus of course. Lol

I'm not a super technical basketball guy, although i've been watching UF basketball for the past 25 years. I may be premature, but IMO this team is by far the most balanced, best team in the Mike White era. If they continue playing with this effort, they can do a lot of damage this year.

If you were an Alpha at UF during that time period, we probably know each other or at least of each other. I was very close friends with some of your frat brothers.

Lol..yep, then we know each other because I crossed in Fall 2002. My line was the one right after the resurrection line of 2001 in other words. It's a small world but that's where the name AlphaGator1906 comes from. A lot of people just think it's about the football team and how they started playing in 1906..lol. but it has nothing to do with that and is just a coincidence. Anyways, I was at UF for undergrad (2000-2004) and graduate school (2004-2008). I wouldn't trade that time for anything in the world.

Ah, we just missed each other. I finished in 1999. Did grad school 2004-05, but I wasn't involved with campus life during grad school. I talked to UD once or twice, so that's why I thought we were there at the same time.
