Ironically it may be Emory who winds up bussing tables.

Very possible. That’s the part that Brady was extremely good at( I hate Brady), decision making, timing…… playing qb. That doesn’t show up in a combine or highlight reel.Mahomes has, Lamar Jackson , not so much.Jackson is good but not great just yet. Hurts seems to be getting better every year. Beavis with the Bengals seems like he might have it. Allen not so much, great arm, good legs, can’t quite grasp elite quarterbacking which is inside their heads. The thing I look at in elite qbs is, take away their legs and what do you have? Many of the greats, Rodgers, Young, Mahomes, had legs. They all have elite pocket presence and could win without their legs.

Funny, I haven’t seen any coach get accused of not giving effort or being questioned about if their heart and focus is on Gator football the way I’ve seen it with players.

You missed the last three coaches for a decade I guess. They have been roasted.

Sure you have. Mullen has been widely criticized for being lazy in recruiting. Muschamp and Mac have been blasted. Napier has been roasted by some here for a slow start. All this “hot seat” talk.
You’re throwing out bait just to argue. We’ve talked this to death. I’m out

The Napier criticism is pretty tepid compared to the criticism that players get. You keep quoting me just to argue. Enjoy your day.

There was tons of bitching all threes last year.

No one is piling on in this thread.

It's possible to think AR was less than all-in last season...AND wish him nothing but the absolute best on a human level.

Or maybe he’s getting an education because he damn sure isn’t going to be getting that big contract . EJ was a great kid just like AR.

First year calling for a coaches head and complaining is just dumb. If we look like we did last year two years from now, there will be plenty.

    Never mind the running issue.

Where are the posters who complained about AR turning flips on the field while injured. (That was a lot of posts.)

    Awesome story @Matthanuf06

Looking forward to AR-5's career unfolding.

So you are saying he had a chance to run but didn't?

Really glad AR was a Gator, would have loved another year, but he made the right decision.

Honestly, this story might provide some insight into why AR didn't play better here. I think he went way beyond necessary in this instance, which tells me he may have been trying to do too much as QB. You have to prioritize and maximize your efficiency as a QB. Like "the letter," I find this story to be a little awkward. Feels like he was trying way too hard to make a good impression. It's a useful glimpse into his psyche. Nothing wrong with helping the help a bit, but staying until all the work was done? Nice gesture, but nice gestures don't make you elite at QB. I still maintain something is not all right upstairs. I hope he grows out of it and flourishes in Indy, but there's a lot of troubling signs with him. Stop PR'ing for yourself and take some more reps, watch some more film. This was a cute story, but it's too much.

You probably were just used to the Mullen O.

If Napier wanted AR to run more he could have simply called more runs

The reality is Napiers offense is not designed for someone like AR. He brought in Graham Mertz who may be the least mobile QB in the sport.

AR ran more than any other Napier QB.

I’m not saying Napiers offense won’t work. It’s just different.

I get you wanted him to scramble more. But AR is actually quite good going through reads. He is not a one read and scramble guy (maybe he should be but that’s a different question).

If this story was about Tim Tebow sticking around to help clean up, I doubt you would've found anything negative to say about it.

Tebow was much more accomplished at this stage than AR is… so you’re probably right.

I don't see how being more accomplished factors into a scenario of a former Gator player performing an extremely kind act for others.
