Auburn or Michigan State

I think we want Auburn and Vols to win. Because we'll be scouting our opponent as well as the 2 on the other side. Having 2 teams we know we'll would be an advantage and give us more time to focus on what we did right and wrong against them. And give us more time to look at Duke.

 

I would like for the guys to extract some revenge on MSU from 2000.

 

I think our guys play better when they have something to prove. They’ve already proved they can beat Auburn. I want mich state and Duke next.

 

I would rather not go against Tom izzo

 

Considering we have played 3 very talented defensive teams, I think we have our bearings to face Michigan St. Auburn is the opposite, and we haven't faced an offensive-minded team since early in the SEC tournament. I've also seen where rematches have all gone to the previous losing team. Auburn wants a rematch with us badly.

 

Auburn is the better team, so I’d rather have MSU, but neither team would be easy.

 

Michigan State. I want to face new competition, we’ve already played Auburn and get to play them every season as is. We owe Michigan State some payback for those early 2000s tournament defeats and Izzo is due a loss to an SEC team in the tournament finally. Lol.

Auburn will probably win, though. They’re the better team.

 

I want MSU and then Tennessee.

I want no part of Auburn or Duke.

Of course we can win, but give me the path of least resistance.

 

why would we even be looking at Duke when our next opponent is Auburn/MSU?

 

Because our staff is smart. They will spend time on both teams on the other side because of only having one day turnaround. Golden doesn't sleep.

 

It’s common in tournaments for one of the assistant coaches to scout the next opponent.

 

Everybody is correct here.

We know AU and clearly match up with them well. But, they're a better team than MSU, have one of the best in the game on their roster, and will be hungry for revenge.

MSU is more of an unknown, on paper it will be harder for them to score a ton, but: Izzo, man. Sheesh.

I think AU handles them, though, meaning we avoided Pitino, Cal, and Izzo matchups.

 

MSU, but not by much. The Izzo factor is real, but Bruce Pearl and his history and familiarity with Todd is a similar concern.

 

I want no part of au/ duke too. Auburn wants revenge and Duke is the tallest/ more talented team left, prefer Mich st and Houston, but all the teams are very good to make it this far

 

MSU. They have three insanely atheltic guard/wings that we would have trouble staying in front of, but I like the ability of our bigs to bother them at the rim and our depth. Plus, I also want payback. Auburn seems like the more well-rounded team. We beat them last time because we shot the lights out from 3, which we don't seem to be doing lately, so they would concern me more than MSU. But I have a feeling it will be Auburn.

 

I want MSU and Duke.

 

Izzo has a perfect 10-0 record vs SEC teams in the NCAA Tournament.

Duke looks really good.

Was smoked Auburn and Pearl has been a Gator killer over the years. They want payback like we did in 1996 vs the noles in the MNCG.
I know the history with Izzy is similar but this years M State isn’t like those teams. I think we rout them if our top 3 aren’t ice cold for 75% of the game.

I think we can handle UT better than Duke plus I have cash on UT making it to the final 4.

 

MSU. I was in Indy when they beat us for the title.
