Attention all panhandle Gators & anyone else who wants to have some fun…

Many days as a kid with that player piano at Shakeys and Dipper Dans ice cream . Saw Allman Bros a decade or so in Municipal Auditorium before they tore it down.

 

I remember Dusty Rhodes, Andre the Giant and Hogan. I guess that was the 80's. And growing up I used to watch (this is in the 60's as a little kid) Brute Bernard and Skull Murphy, the old tag team matches.

I remember the president of Student Government productions at UF came to a party at my house right after a match and brandished a souvenir he was quite proud of- Dusty Rhodes shorts got thrown to the audience and he caught the prize. This guy literally thought he was God. At least a little strange.

A tangent on Music: In the 70's I was in Miami, saw Allman Bros at a place called The Image. Many shows at Pirates World. Fronton. Saw The Police at the Rathskeller, Skynyrd at the University Auditorium. Outlaws on the lawn at the Reitz student Union. Didn't get to the Panhandle till the 80's and 90's. Niceville, Destin, Crestview, Navarre, Pensacola, Gulf Breeze. Great vacations and family events.

It's all good...

Man, I sure miss Florida.
