Narrative from whom? The MSM? You're kidding, right? If you're talking about from the GOP, we've already been talking about how she pushed Biden out. Infighting is a blip on the radar compared to a quasi coup. The MSM has essentially done nothing with that, so what harm would there have been in giving a "hindsight being 20/20" type of answer? None. More importantly, the question and subsequent answer may have sunk her campaign for good, because that's an easy clip for the Trump campaign to run ads with. Biden is an unpopular president. As for narratives, she gave the Trump campaign the exact answer they wanted her to give. I don't know the name of the lady who asked the question, but she probably got a talking to by network high command. You don't put Kamala Harris on the spot. That's a big no no.

on edit: in fact, I'll add if she had given a couple of different ways she would have handled things, the MSM's narrative would have been to spin her answer as a positive, just like it has been for just about everything else she has said. With the answer she actually gave, they got nothing. It was a pin drop moment and you could tell she wasn't too crazy about getting the question.

She’s really working hard to sink her own campaign.

You know you’re going to be asked this question, and in an overtly friendly forum, and you can’t think of anything you’d have done differently all the while making “change” and “turn the page” the mantras for your campaign.

    Good luck with that.

Yeah, with Kamala Harris, we're really just seeing the same thing we've been seeing from her for the past nearly 4 years. Her approvals were always markedly lower than Biden's and I'm sure you might agree, the main reason for that was that she was very bad at just about everything she touched and hideous with interviews. The infamous interview with Lester Holt was atrocious. There's no wonder why many top Dem officials wanted her off the ticket just a few months ago. Her approvals only resurrected when it was clear Biden couldn't beat Trump and she offered Dems a glimmer of hope upon entering the race, so they rushed to get behind her. I suspect her support is going to continue to revert to the mean up until Election Day. I'm not convinced she is even going to win the popular vote, let alone the electoral college.

Trying to remove my bias from this and will just point out again, Kamala Harris had approval ratings in the 30's for a majority of her time as VP for a reason. She's just really bad at national politics and that's what you're seeing playing out here. Not sure what your excuse will be for her when she loses. Not a shortage of money or negative press about Trump. Can't blame Biden because she just told you she would not have handled a thing differently than he did. What's your excuse going to be?

This thread is a deflection, as are so many of the "Kamala hiccup'd the other day" threads. Hard not to deflect when your guy is pond scum.

There’s a reason why in 2020 she jumped out in front of the Dem primary pack but then never even made it to Iowa.

Didn't even earn a single delegate.

    From 2020…sound familiar?

While Harris generated some of the most buzz of any of the Democratic candidates, she struggled to define her candidacy in a wide primary field. After a brief polling peak this summer, she had seen a return to low single-digit numbers, though she still regularly polled among the top five. Those poor numbers were compounded by a steady drum beat of negative press accounts of the internal workings of her campaign, with staffers accusing the campaign of having an unclear structure and lack of clarity in its direction.

Throughout her campaign, Harris publicly struggled with her stances on issues ranging from health care, where she initially said she supported getting rid of private insurance plansand then released a health care plan that left a large role for private insurers, to busing, which she successfully cornered former Vice President Joe Biden on from the debate stage but then struggled to come up with her own position on the matter.

Let us know when she demands that she not be fact-checked during an interview before she agrees to it. The liar/felon candidate seems to make that requirement a lot. In fact, I would say that Trump has yet to agree to a single "interview" yet. All he does is spin fables for his semi-literate followers.

LOL, new definition of the word "DEFLECTION" = anything said about Kamala Harris, ever.
Amazing, unbelievable, and stunning candidate. As a Republican I say "thank you."

Didn't watch the recent interviews but having watched her before, she seems a little too cautious and guarded. Not Hillary level careful but certainly so compared to Bill Clinton and Obama - a couple of the most talented politicians of their times. I'd like to see Kamala's team give her a couple glasses of wine before she goes out. In any event, to put the mockery of Kamala in context, I remember many on the right laughing about how Obama was completely horrible and clueless except when he was using his teleprompter. Trump even mocks others for using teleprompters despite using them himself.

After the CBS edit fraud with her interview, I don't see how anybody could blame Trump for not going on 60 Minutes. And he's given plenty of interviews in hostile territory already. He doesn't need to mimic every little desperate attempt Kamala makes to salvage her campaign.
