Yeah, I don't think too many people are admitting that the people who literally committed academic fraud (in the paper about how many people in Santa Clara county has Covid) were right. But feel free to provide actual evidence of your claims that most experts are now on board with all of their ideas. If not, we can chalk that up to the narcissism making you make such an outlandish claim, as it is really a claim that you knew more than the experts again.
I’ve come to view vaccines as a deeply embedded superstitious ritual that likely renders people less healthy than they’d otherwise be. Also, if you disagree with me you’re a narcissist.
If you believe as you posted, "You don't need to agree with me," why do you continue to endlessly belabor your beliefs about covid? What point are you trying to make? This is propaganda:"It is unfortunate you have decided to believe in the propaganda and not the facts. But propaganda is powerful. Most have gotten past it and understand reality now."
Not really. Quite a few people on the board do things like post actual experts on topics like Covid. They post scientific findings. They go to experts in the field. This board is actually pretty good about backing claims. For the most part, we have relatively few people that reject entire fields of experts without any expertise at all.
Well I can hope they will eventually see reality. But I can’t make them. And I find Covid a huge deal. We can never forget the propaganda and damage done. As we must make sure it never happens again.
I will agree with you to a point. But with everything on this board, if you are from my team and an expert saying what my team believes in then it is correct and supported, but if you are expert from the other team and say something I don't believe then it is obvious propaganda. I'm not calling you specifically out on that, it is nearly everyone on this board. It is what's frustrating because just as you don't take pause for my experts, I don't take pause for yours. I try to be open minded and feel confident that we did a lot of things that didn't help. We did somethings that did but now is the time to look back and be willing to admit where the experts we followed were wrong, so we don't make the same mistake again if ever put in this situation again. True narcissism is not being able to recognize that!
I don't think you will find too many instances of people with no background in a field declaring the experts in a field all idiots as part of some very elongated attempt to prove that they knew those expert's field better than the experts. People argue positions around here, but that isn't the narcissism. Where it comes out is in the belief that the only reason anybody listens to experts in the field (whom he has declared idiots because they disagree with him, not because he has relevant background or even has read their work) above him is "propaganda" a nearly ubiquitous point in his posts on the topic at this point. That is narcissism. BTW, I think we disagree on just about everything, but I don't think you are a narcissist. It isn't really a matter of agree or disagree. It is a lot of the associated behaviors that I was highlighting.
And Florida was not immune from the idiocy. April 23, 2020 we are out on the boat for what was to be a field trip to St Augustine. It was a windy day so we cut it short and hit the Matanzas Inlet near Fort Matanzas. We were doing the safest thing possible if any of us had Covid (of course none of us did but we were outside). As you can see South with my kids and north sign my wife. We were the only ones on Rattlesnake Island that day which is basically only accessible by boat. If the kids were not when us… I would have sat and stared at the cop for hours across the way as he got on the megaphone telling us we had to leave. We took the kids around the bend and found another spot to enjoy nature. FWC understood things much better as they went by later and waved.
Good post. Let’s just say there is a lot of bad science and studies that are cited out there. From both sides!
I don’t believe in Hinduism. Granted, I don’t have a degree in Hindu Studies. Maybe I’m just a narcissist.
Look at it from a macro perspective. Were you and your family hurting anyone? No. But if you allow one family, then the next day it's 10 families, then 100 families. All interacting with people while they get gas, supplies, or use the restroom somewhere. That allows a virus to spread in the community. That's what we were trying to prevent.
"Bad science" in this instance can be translated to "results I don't like." You have no background in either research methodology or in the substantive field. As such, your declaration of something as "bad science" is based on whether the results agree with your prior belief or not.
