Way too early . . . and yet here it is. LOL! By: Nick Marcinko -- January 20, 2023 With 35 offseason departures, Billy Napier saw quite the roster turnover after his first year as head football coach for the Florida Gators. Transfers, dismissals, and NFL bound athletes forced Florida to turn to the transfer portal and the 2023 recruiting class to fill in key holes throughout the roster. With Spring football quickly approaching, Gator Country gives you our way too early 2023 offensive two-deep depth chart. Way too early 2023 offensive depth chart | GatorCountry.com
Need a deep threat WR from the portal in the worst way. Otherwise ETN and Montrell running into a stacked box all year
Have said that more than once. Some disagree but gotta add someone to protect Ricky. Right now any good defense will just simply double Ricky. One other threat could really change things. Given that we don’t throw to the tight end much, didn’t pick up a tight and transfer, and don’t like to throw to the backs out of the back field much, and don’t have another threat other than Ricky we’ve almost got to pick up a solid transfer very soon. It may be too late at this point as adding a transfer after the spring doesn’t really help us unless it’s a big-name guy that doesn’t need much time.
I agree. At this point I’m hoping for an FCS transfer who is better than that on paper (think Jared Verse but at WR)
