Swamp247 is saying we are now looking elsewhere for guard transfers - says we have even contacted Ques Glover. We did all we could with Perry.

There were a couple of really good statistics professors there. Maybe that's fascinating to him.

Maybe coming from North Tex that isn't such a big deal, actually.

He’s gone. BYU it is, but we will still salivate over getting other mid-major players who haven’t had as much success as Glover had at a comparable conference.

I was hoping he would give us another look with the new coach.

Unfortunately, he makes more turnovers than assists.

Check his first year stats at Samford when he was heathy. Last year, he played with torn cartilage throughout the season, missed a dozen or so games and still made 2nd Team All-Southern Conference. Slightly changing the subject, did you watch the first Heat/Knicks playoff game the other night? Jimmy Butler had 4 assists and 2 turnovers, but he made 40 or so really good passes that created advantages for the Heat. Glover is not a guy who hangs around the perimeter on offense. He penetrated and creates. That’s going to result in a few turnovers, but it also is going to result in much better scoring opportunities for his teammates. Samford’s field goal percentages with Glover running the offense are exceptional, and we’re not talking about tremendously gifted players that surrounded Glover the last 2 seasons. Samford just had the best back-to-back seasons in their history. So, you can make a big deal about his 2.4 turnovers per game, but you should know better than that.

I just reported the facts without editorializing. Make what you will of them.
FWIW, I don't watch the NBA at all. Nor the NFL. Nor MLB.

Is “unfortunately” editorializing? Obviously, you were being negative as you’re entitled to, and you are inviting responses, at least from me.

    Same here.
I do NOT watch the NFL, NBA nor MLB.
Too much corruption, especially in the NFL.

"Unfortunately" certainly sounds like editorializing, doesn't it? In my defense, it was a typo. Caused by my cat who walked across the keyboard. What are the odds against a random cat typo spelling out a 5-syllable English adverb, properly inserted into the overall sentence structure? At least we can agree that that's an amazing thing, and we count ourselves lucky that we were all here to witness it.

I fully understand. As we all know, if an infinite number of monkeys, each of which has a typewriter, is given an infinite amount of time, one of them will eventually type Hamlet in its entirety. In your case, it was your cat responding to one of my infinite number of Ques Glover posts. This also explains some of the insane crap that gets posted on THFSG.
