By: Nick Marcinko -- August 22, 2024 Gator Country provides you our roundtable discussion, where we preview Florida’s 2024 season by giving out preseason awards, discussing keys to victory, and predicting Florida’s record. Here is our roundtable by Gentry Hawk, Andrew Spivey, and Nick Marcinko. Preseason roundtable: Predicting Florida’s 2024 season | GatorCountry.com
The Front four on defense and the linebackers have to keep gap integrity, and we cannot miss tackles. The rest of the back end just needs to tackle in open field, swarm to the ball (gang tackle) and use better pursuit angles when chasing down receivers. On the offense, it's all about the O-line health and depth. Again... 7-5 seems to be the same guess everyone else has for the Gators, most common guess. One way or another, this year is going to be one of the most exciting seasons in recent memory. Hopefully for good reason. I still think 8 to 10 wins is possible.
D-line and edge rushers need to get their hands up if they can't get to the QB. Something that was sorely lacking last year.
