Thanks ET- This article gives me hope. Seems the O-line is doing well, Mertz is stepping up and people are rallying behind him. The linebackers are a strong collective unit. And, leaders are emerging. You kind of forget how important leadership is, whether it's a QB or a linebacker. This is good news. It's all very exciting. Go Gators.
Huh, no mention of UF. Seven college football quarterback battles you need to follow during 2023 spring practice
Metz was a stud gunslinger in H.S. Perhaps new digs, new coaching and new recievers mean a fun new reality in Gainesville. It could happen, looking forward to seeing the young man in action.
Regarding the buzz around Max Brown. I looked up his successor at his High School/ QB Luke Milligan class 2024> he completed 14 / 15 in his first start as a junior last season. This either means the high school coach is a real QB whisperer or defenses are pretty bad in his league. Luke is 6' 2" 180
If BN goes for any available stud QB in the portal that should give us an indication of his confidence level in Mertz/Miller/Brown. If it’s just a take for depth then he’s probably comfortable.
I'm wondering if the kid who had credit transfer issues in the portal (McCall?) graduates and then transfers somewhere?
