One of Florida’s top targets in 2024 has set his final six making for one of the first big time high school recruiting battles for Todd Golden and his staff since coming to florida.

Dedan Thomas is his name, and he’s a 6’1” pure ball handling point guard that any coach in the country would love to have running their offense. Currently ranked 38th in the class, he’s been recruited as if he were ranked even higher–largely because of the fact he plays one of the most important positions in basketball.

Does John Stockton still play pick up with varsity players at Gonzaga out of season? If I was a PG getting to learn from him would be a huge positive.

And the Gators had some success with another PG that reclassified: Scotty W.

We also have a guy on staff, former point guard, can't remember his name, who has a couple of national championships under his belt. Bet he'd be up for some pickup games with point guard targets.

Speaking of former Gator guards, is it time to embrace Teddy Dupay again?

Yes, he did screw up but I remember seeing him at a Gator game a few years ago with a bunch of the kids that he was teaching. I think that he still has a love for the game and a love for the Gators.

Gamnbling on games seems so harmless nowadays. That was it, right?

Yeah I’m down to bring him back.

I don't know if that was meant as a tongue-in-cheek response, but athletes gambling on games is one of the worst things that can happen to any sport.

Not gambling but giving inside info to gamblers was the problem IIRC.

That's even worse than gambling on games.
