Throughout the year we have been doing Q&A articles for our subscribers here at Gator Country, and since Florida has finished up the roster for the 2023-24 season and we’ve entered the dog days of the summer, it’s time for another one!

I like the direction our basketball team is moving towards. Top 25 easily with the talent we have. I hope we run far into the playoffs. But I still have to say that losing Bol sucked.

Bol is overrated and we didn’t really want him. ;)

We didn't really want him? I can believe the overrated part but not the rest of it. I could see if he was demanding crazy NIL "compensation" for his services. And maybe that was why we changed our minds about recruiting him, but on just talent alone? He seemed like a take.

It wasn’t an insult, it was a joke. Apologies if I offended you. It wasn’t intentional, my friend. :emoji_pray:

The joke I was making is that we always say that a player is overrated and we really didn’t want him after they leave or decommit. It’s a running joke.

A friend of mine would like to know the difference between a running joke and a walking joke.

I also didn't take it as a personal joke. In fact, I took it as making fun of all of us here.

A walking joke is a running joke for slow people.

It was from Seinfeld: the show about nothing. I don't know if you follow college baseball but Seinfeld was a lot like FSU baseball. It was pretty good but a show about nothing.

I didn’t watch much Seinfeld, but I watched all of Curb (which was great).

Larry David was the genius behind Seinfeld.

It was also a genius stroke of casting, and then figuring out the correct writing for each cast member. The first season wasn't all that good, and then the show became great.
