With Texas A&M losing at home to Vandy yesterday this is their 3rd straight loss. I’m sure the Aggies will be very eager to right their ship with a win on the road against the Gators. Going to be a very interesting game to see who wins (thinking the Aggies are going to be pretty physical if the refs allow it). Hopefully the Gators can send the Aggies to their 4th straight loss.
I'm not picking on you (just want to vent) . . . but if the refs allow it? The SEC has allowed teams to almost play football against Florida in many conference games. Hopefully the kids will come out angry after the LegHumper game. The NCAA usually allows more physical play so maybe this conference mugging nonsense will get them more ready for March Madness. I had hoped prior grabbing/holding/slapping/pushing/body blows would have gotten the kids used to playing through contact. Now I hope it pisses them off.
Vandy made 10 of 24. From a TAMMY article: "Vanderbilt then converted 18 of 24 free throws over the final 3:33 to hold off the Aggies." I'm sure that stat is accurate as I now saw that TAMMY was only called for 12 fouls all game (compared to 26 against Vandy). Hope our guys have been praticing FTs. Both teams scored 52 in the 2nd half.
Ha! Yes, physical play is not unheard of in SEC play this season Just hoping the majority of the refs calls will favor the Gators more than the Aggies since it’s in Gainesville. But you just never know. If the Gators come out on fire like they did at home against the Vols then the refs can’t mess it up.
Better come ready to play 40 minutes. A&M after 3 straight losses will be all in to win. Florida needs to do the same and protect home court.
