Nowadays in college basketball schedules are made further in advance than ever and when Golden was hired last spring the Gators’ entire non-conference schedule was essentially set. In fact, the only game actually scheduled by Golden was the neutral site contest with Ohio, something to round out a schedule that already was loaded with high-major opponents due to the PK-85.
