I've been waiting for this today. NINETY-THREE (93) snaps the defense was on the field . . . and they still played strong!

It was an odd game for snap counts in Florida vs LSU as the Tigers out snapped Florida 93-45 in the contest and dominated the time of possession by over 23 minutes.

Florida worked 17 offensive players into the game and 25 defensive players, a tighter rotation than we are used to seeing.

Those dbs played every snap as there is noone left to rotate in. They really hung tough.

Burning a lot of redshirts this year and i LOVE it

Sad that Kelby probably gone. Maybe he’s low key getting a redshirt year which wouldn’t be a bad thing

Yep... The top two 2023 defensive recruits not playing this year. Although, Jackson is hurt. He played the first two games. He can play two more and redshirt. Hopefully he can get back for FSU and/or the Bowl game.

Kelby has already played 5 or 6 games, so no redshirt. He's been passed by the true FR Robinson and Boireau. Even Taylor, late JUCO recruit, is playing over him. We'll see, but not looking great for the future.

Only 6 defensive backs played and 4 played all 93. The numbers add up to five DBs being on the field for every play.

With so many third and long situations, don't we have defensive packages that includes six DBs? Even with a lack of DB depth, neither McClain or Smith played a defensive snap.

    Cornerback

    Dijon Johnson: 93
    Trikweze Bridges: 93
    Aaron Gates: 47
    Sharif Denson: 46

    Safety

    Jordan Castell: 93
    Bryce Thornton: 93

It is interesting as to why those two didn't even get a single snap
