After 39.75 minutes, the game was there for the taking. We took it. I think if you look at the replay (which I have about 126 times), you can see the focus and awareness of Clayton, Hough, and Condon. With 2.5 secs left Condon is diving for a loose ball with everything he has. He actually bumps the Houston guy out of the play who was also diving but with some hesitation. With about 1.7 seconds left the Houston guys all froze. Condon is still playing for 100 mph for his life. Hough is trying to position himself defensively to prevent a last second Houston hail mary shot from 3. Clayton is looking to protect the ball. He didn’t bounce the ball off the floor and high into the air until after the horn sounded but he was looking to do this with 1-2 secs left to keep it away from Houston’s arms.

We never stopped playing until it was truly over. Houston stopped playing with time still left. That was the difference.

History will remember that we won. Us Gators will remember how we won. Our rivals and haters will remember how our win made them feel.

    Go Gators!!!
