Arizona Republican chair allegedly tried to bribe Kari a lake to leave the senate race

    For what they are? This kind of backroom bartering has gone on since the inception of the country. You see it as some kind of wrong and yet the party is simply trying to dump a candidate that can win the primary but not the statewide election. As a party over country person you should be ecstatic they’re trying to ensure the GOP has another seat in the senate.

    Then Lake releasing the recording shouldn't matter, right? I mean, this stuff happens all the time, right? Nothing to see here. Why the vitriol for telling the world what we already knew?

    Oh, I don’t care. The Republican Party cares because it’s never pleasant seeing how the sausage is made.

    I am most decidedly not a party over country person, but I am also not sure I see a problem here. The Republican Party is a private organization, so it would seem they should be able to select their own candidates however they see fit, including paying to remove undesirable candidates.

    My guess would be that on a count of these occurrences we, as a country would be in the high five digit/low six digit area.
