The SEC had ≈ 22% of the invites & has ≈ 44% of the Sweet 16, both records I think. The best players will play in the best Conference & play for the best team in the Conference, UF.
I lambasted UTx and UGa for their post-SEC season showing. I said at least we can say we broke the record for getting 12 teams in, if anyone wants to say the SEC got the "UNC treatment". Missouri did not quite get to these levels, but it was close to consider us tying the record at 11. But then I am too lazy to look up how many brain farts were in the Big East when they got in 11. But yeah, Missouri should have gotten to the Sweet 16, unless they ran into a buzzsaw. Their game is too different for most teams to just take it in stride.
And now to my original post in this thread... C'mon other teams. Beat those guys we beat and want revenge!!! Well, I will make an exception for Duke. C'mon Bama!!!
Go Cats! Easy when you a) live in Knoxville for over 30 years, b) have a DIL that is a Cat, c) live in Knoxville for over 30 years and d) want Vols chance at a Natty in basketball dismissed.
I know we are talking about basketball, but this is institutional: They both voted to strip Florida of the 1984 SEC football title, but UT was a catalyst to that action, so they get more blame.
The pundits anti-SEC bias that made me want SEC teams to win against their compétition. Otherwise, F em all.
After the pundits looked to downgrade the SEC after the first few losses, I began to cheer for the SEC. Lots of national "they're not the good" began to downplay UF among them. The I read an article about how UConn "exposed" UF as undeserving of a #1 seed. F' em all. I hope the SEC cleans the floor with them all.
I want ALL SEC teams except for Florida to lose. I am a Gator, but pretty much hate the rest of the SEC. I may pull for Ole Miss to beat Michigan State just because I want Sparty to lose, but almost never pull for an SEC team besides the Gators in any sport. I never understood the SEC, SEC, SEC chant because I just don't think that way.
SEC is in 3 of the 4 games tomorrow and one (TN/KY) is an all-SEC affair. Frankly, I'll be happy when every SEC team loses 'cept one.
we still have a shot at an all-SEC final 4 East- Bama South- Auburn or Ole Miss Midwest- Tennessee or Kentucky West- Florida
I know there have been 2 SEC teams in the final 4 in the past, have we ever had more? I believe the Big East had 3 once, but just can't remember.
