I mean, he did forget the simple fact that he was given a test that screens for it and thought it was an IQ test, then couldn’t even remember the name of the test. “But Biden!! Sleepy Joe!!” Lol.

Just saw a video online where they had to find an officer in the same unit (insignias, uniforms, etc) that happened to have the same name as a Vietnam Veteran's commanding officer to come to the nursing home and tell him he did NOT have to report for duty. The Vet has dementia & kept trying to leave to "report for duty" and that what was left of his men needed him, etc. The younger soldier has had to go repeatedly because the Vet keeps reliving it....

My grandmother begging to be let go because she was going to be whipped again at 98 years old thinking she was back in her childhood...

THAT'S dementia. Not these 2. They're older & confused. Wish people would stop throwing the dementia word out there as a catchall.

If he does, it might be the least of his many pathological mental disorders.

I don't know if he does or does not, but I tend to doubt it unless it's been a pretty recent change. We've seen Trump speak on stage for very long periods of time. Anyone who talks that much is going to make mistakes or draw some blanks. Heck, I do it daily. I also think Trump purposefully uses smaller words and have some theories on that. Perhaps Trump was usually using teleprompters (something Obama was absurdly mocked for), but even that I imagine is more difficult than it looks.

LMFAO... It's just too easy, isn't it...:D;)

And missing in that self inflicted joke is another hit job thread about Trump.

I accept your challenge to be more sensitive as to the use of medical terms being freely tossed around without consideration to people that have lived it in some way or another.

    I hear you, Iceqeen.

Trump is sharper than I am. I still can't repeat what he recited so well. Was it man, woman, TV, or TV, man, woman, or what was it?

Now in my sixties and consulting, I find that I sometimes I repeat myself in providing guidance. The advantage, I can charge twice as much. Although my mental agility may be lessened, I have a rich experience in my field that people find valuable.

I don't doubt that Biden and Trump have lost some mental agility with age, but both have likely forgotten more than most people will ever know. The difference is that Biden understands political history and policy that makes him effective in gaining global support for issues like the war, or climate initiatives. Trump's knowledge was never about that, and I observed, made him dangerous because he went solo, as he did all his life in business. For example trashing the Iran deal without a plan in place, or repeal and replace (with what?), or ignoring an infrastructure deal for a shift in funds to a wall. I'm more comfortable with Biden's history to steer the country because he understands the consequences. For Trump, it was a bankruptcy and move on to the next scam.

Nah. That's one manifestation of dementia. Dementia covers a huge spectrum from mild forgetfulness, to sun downing, to late Alzheimer's....

Quite frankly, the question isn't whether the 2 subject septuagenarians have dementia, it's to what degree, and to what extent does their respective cases of dementia inhibit or affect their ability to function?

...and one case bears a shit pile more significance than teh other, because one case concerns a sitting POTUS (while the other merely concerns an XPOTUS (now his case may become relevant again IF he chooses to pursue a 2nd term...).

In the meantime, our demented POTUS bungled the holy hell out of Afghanistan withdrawal, invited and facilitated beginning of war in Ukraine, has presided over more COVID deaths than his predecessor despite having 3 vaccines at his disposal where his predecessor none, sold out our oil interests and rendered us again, dependent on foreign oil, has fostered a crisis at the boarder, has shat on the economy prompting historic inflation, is implicated in disqualifying international corruption through his son...

...and HE is our sitting POTUS.

That's plenty of cause for concern (and disgust/disdain).

Which one of the 2 is still under the delusion the election was stolen? And if Trump's state isn't in question because he's not currently President then why are his supporters wanting him to run? Why does he himself claim he's still President? (Remember the seal he made, etc?)

Yes there are varying degrees of dementia, Alzheimers, etc. You know one of the largest groups getting Alzheimers meds? Congress. Both parties. Every last one in charge of the nation. But having early Alzheimers & being in progressed/severe dementia are not the same.

What you & others are trying to do is paint Biden as basically unaware to time/place/person which is advanced stages. Your using a term for people basically trapped in their bodies that have zero idea of anything as a weapon against a guy you hate. You know it and it's abhorrent.

Biden has done enough boneheaded things that can be discussed ON MERIT without resorting to that kind of garbage. Trump has said & done enough ON MERIT that can be discussed without resorting to that garbage.

It's lazy & insensitive & flat out wrong.

Now all that said, there needs to be an age limit for Congress & the President. I get that age supposedly equals experience while the young learn the ropes. But people serving into their 80s, 90s...wasn't Strom Thurmond 101? Just no. They can be mentors or something.

The Afghanistan withdrawal agreement was something Biden inherited from Trump. Biden was smart enough to move the date back, but unfortunately, the intel we had was wrong, and the Taliban moved a lot quicker than anticipated on Kabul. Yes, the first three days of the withdraw was a cluster, but in the end, we evacuated hundreds of thousands with minimal loss of life. Tragically, we couldn't evacuate all, and not lose any lives, but given the circumstances, the operation wasn't total failure.

Please explain how Biden invited a war in Ukraine? Yes, Putin might have waited if Trump were still POTUS, but only because Trump was Putin's useful idiot. With Trump still in the White House, he would have continued to weaken NATO. The weaker NATO is, the easier invading Ukraine would be for Putin. At current, the war in Ukraine has been a boondoggle for Russia, much to do with the fact NATO has help arm Ukraine, with NATO being lead by Biden. Could you imagine the NATO response in a fictional 2023 where Trump wins, pulls out of NATO in late 2022, and basically lets Putin take Ukraine without resistance?

More COVID deaths is true, but that's in large part because R's are literally dying to own the libs! More R's have died of COVID than Ds, due to refusal to get vaccinated. Biden tried everything, including vaccine mandates, which were thrown out in court. How is that Biden's fault?

Really want to bring corruption to the table when talking Biden family vs the Trump family?!?

As for the border, nothing fundamentally has changed since Biden took over. The only difference is the anti-immigration, racist rhetoric isn't coming from the White House. Instead, it's directed at the person sitting in the Oval Office.

Having a family member who suffered from Alzheimer's, neither Biden nor Trump have shown signs. The occasional mispronunciation or forgetful moment happens to all of us. And a little more as we age. Mid stage Alzheimer's looks more like your father-in-law asking why his bedroom upstairs has changed and where did his mother go, as he thought he was back in his childhood home in Vermont, 60 years ago, and not present day Arizona. Late stage is not recognizing his own daughter.
