So you believe that there is evidence that Biden actually accepted bribes? Link(s) would be appreciated. I would also add that whether or not Old Joe may have spoken with some of Hunter's business associates is not evidence that he actually accepted bribes.

Just last Thursday, my certified gun instructor, also a live shooter training specialist, took me to his gun club, where we worked on clay pigeons with my 12 gauge pump. Then we went to the small arms venue, where he trained me on 9mm Ruger and a 22cal AR. The 22 cal didn't even feel like it was firing. 25 round clip. Probably not a useful weapon, but I've got to admit that this liberal enjoyed it.

There is at minimum first-hand witness to it. He gave sworn testimony yesterday...

Dems tried to impeach Trump over quid pro quo based on the testimony from a guy who heard from a guy.

Then their star witness whose opening comments said there was quid pro quo, completely collapses once he is crossed by Republicans.

So they had ZERO evidence and someone who was twice removed from the phone call that was supposed to have quid pro quo.

Good for you. You should lead others of your political persuasion down that path of enlightenment . The .22 cal is by far the most useful weapon you shot that day for your probable needs (home protection) for the very reason you think it’s not useful: you can stay on target with little difficulty. If you don’t own one you should buy it and train on operating in total/near total darkness.

But I noticed you didn’t claim ownership of any firearm in your post.

First, as my post on this poll, and the link itself, made pretty clear, the pollster asked if he accepted a bribe. The poll was clearly a hypothetical.

But to answer your unrelated question: 100 % absolutely yes there is evidence. Some of the sources of the evidence come from Joe Biden’s lips, photographs, public records, Hunter Biden‘s laptop, and multiple witnesses, some of whom have testified under oath. In addition, there is evidence of audio recordings of Joe Biden.

Well, once again you are incorrect. I clearly wrote that we worked on clay pigeons on my 12 gauge pump. The AR was a .22, not a .25 and my understanding is that it has very little stopping power. Further, the shotgun is considered by many including my gun instructor to be the best home-defense weapon. Not only is there less need for accuracy, but also less chance of shooting through the neighbors' walls.

Provide links and I'm not referring to inferences from Hunter that he could influence his father which I readily concede are real, I'm referring to evidence that Joe Biden actually received cash as part of a quid pro quo. I would also add that FBI Form FD-302 which documents an interview isn't really evidence since it's unverified raw intelligence especially when the source is really sketchy.

.25 was a typo on my part. .22 cal kills more people than any other caliber gun. I have seen some assertions that .22 has killed more than all other calibers combined.

    https://www.gunpolicy.org/documents...t-rifles-kill-more-people-than-any-other/file

IMO, the .22 is best for most home defense because of the following

    1. Training is cheap as ammo is very inexpensive and almost always available. I used to be able to buy a brick off .22 (500 rounds) for around $10. Now they are about $30. That is about $.06 a round. 12 gauge is about $.80 a round. 5.56 is about $.80 a round too.
    2. Weight. A .22 AR weighs around 5lbs. Typical 12 gauge is around 7lbs (the heavier the better).
    3. Recoil. You already know this. Next time you go to the range, try and rapid shoot a .22 pistol at 15 yards and compare that to 9mm. Your grouping will tell you why this matters.
    4. Barrel length. .22 AR typical barrel length is 16 inches. Typical 12 gauge is 28 inches. That really matters in home defense if you are walking your home in fire ready position. Trying to maneuver a 12 gauge in closed quarters is difficult. You have a 12 gauge, take your unloaded gun at night and walk around your home in ready position and you will see the difficulties you will encounter. You do not have those same difficulties with a shorter barrel. A pistol is ideal obviously.

Here is the bottom line, that even your instructor will agree. When in a gun fight, it’s not how big your gun is, it’s how many rounds are on target. A 12 gauge is a great home defense gun for well trained, strong and heavy people. But when you are in panic mode, and moving, IMO the .22 AR is much more prone to protect you. Caveat…rimfire .22 have a higher tendency to jam. So you need to be trained to deal with it.

my best friend of 40 years is lifelong cop (now retired), was in charge of his large department’s SWAT team and an instructor…and he has a .22 AR as one his primary home defense guns, primarily because his 120 lb wife is a beast on it. He is very well armed. He doesn’t even own a shotgun.

Every gun has its pros and cons. Whatever gun you choose, just make sure you train regularly.

Thanks - this is all good information. I find the .22 assertion interesting, given that it's not much different in terms of recoil to a BB gun. After firing the first round (I was wearing ear protection), I literally stopped and asked my instructor if it actually fired. The round is so much smaller than any of the other rounds I've seen. My neighbor across the street is a certified gun nut and recently showed me his 50cal (no thanks) and one of his several ARs. The rounds were much bigger than the .22.

My shotgun has interchangeable barrels. We used the long barrel for clay pigeons and switched it back to the short barrel after. I can see how the long barrel would be unwieldy in the home defense scenario. He had me fire from the hip a couple times, explaining that I wouldn't always have time to bring it up to shoulder. Wanted me to be sure I knew how to do it, if necessary.

BTW - there are some liberals on the board who know quite a bit about guns. I believe @Trickster is one of them. There was a poster named Fastsix a couple years back, but I believe he was banned.

I have quite a few liberal friends, and a few of them have guns. I also have an equal, if not more number of conservative friends and a lot more of them have guns. I really wish guns weren’t a liberal conservative debate. Most of my liberal friends had purchased guns after I have taken them shooting. My very first date with my wife, while we both were in law school, was at the gun range. She had never shot a gun before, and she absolutely loved it. So much so that she eventually married me after lots of begging on my part.

I shoot quite a bit, but I am by no means any type of expert. At 10 yards, which is likely longer than any shot you would take in your house, I can have a consistent 3” grouping with my .22 pistol firing at a fast rate of fire. With my .22 rifle I can have similar results at 15 yards. There is a reason they use .22 caliber for the Olympics….accuracy!

And you were right about one thing, which is often overlooked for home defense, you are never going to put on ear protection. When you shoot a shotgun in your home without ear protection, you are going to become disoriented because of the percussion. You are also going to be temporarily blinded by muzzle flash if you’re firing at night. You can put a silencer on a .22 with the right stamps, and you will have a virtual silent and invisible gun.

Why would there be a civil war? The very basis of our government is derived from the idea of the concent of the governed. Every liberal believes imperialism was wrong. If a state or group of states wants to leave surely they would follow the principles they claim for legitimacy and just bid them adieu. Isn't that ironic? No one would need a gun unless our government is illegitimate.

If I understand what you're saying, it's an interesting issue. I don't think the Constitution addresses secession. How broad and wide must consent be for a government to be considered legitimate? If a state can decide to secede from the United States, would anything prevent cities from making the same argument vis a vis states they're not happy in?
