Yeah which is weird because they have plenty of talent. Has to be a motivation or scheme issue.

Anything less than making the playoffs and Billy has to go. No excuses - even if our starting QB gets injured.

2024, there was no more 'EAST'. 2025, the 'EAST' is a distant memory. A new metric for success, unrelated to the 'EAST' will be needed. BTW, Chip Kelly has nothing to do with LSU.

Yep, if he doesn't make the playoffs with DJ Lagway, he's not gonna without him. My guess is Napier won't make the playoffs. He's too stubborn about the OC thing. Can hire co-DC's but no OC. One word explains it: arrogance.

IMO, it's going to be very difficult for any team with 3 losses to make the playoffs. 10-2 would be a fantastic year, but I think it's an unrealistic metric. Lane, Kelley, Beamer, all couldn't make it. I think our best shot will be in 2026 for the playoffs. It's important for CBN to get to a consistent level of football. We haven't had consistently good football with a chance to advance for 15 years. Mullen got us to a very good place, but he let us nosedive into oblivion. I'm looking for improvement and better play for 2025. Playoffs would be a bonus, but I don't see it as a do or die.

Tulsa fired their head coach after losing to usf. Guessing he wasn’t retained. Not really an indictment on him though. New coach probably wants his own guy.

Spurrier was a WR at Duke, a WR coach at Oklahoma with Bob Stoops, Redskins in the NFL with Dad, South Carolina (including the Pass Game Coordinator title) with Dad, Washington State and Miss State for 4 years with Mike Leach, and most recently at Tulsa. Has seem quite a few passing offenses in his day. Good Offensive Analyst hire.

If CBN gets let go at years end, he will have only himself to blame. His stubbornness not to hire an OC and ST coaches will be his downfall.

I wouldn't even waste my time with that Freedom Gator guy. He just attacks fans' opinions. He probably purchases wedgies in bulk off Amazon

Correct...wedgies are not purchases they are well deserved gifts most of the time...they are not something you buy but are unexpectedly gifted to an unwilling recipient at an opportune time.

Im not sure why BN is so resistant to getting an OC. I know its just him being stubborn but damn man. Your heiarchy in footabll is head coach...OC and DC on down and he just has a vacancy as OC. Youre telling me having a right hand as an OC is less valuable than an 2nd O line coach or WR coach or LB coach. An added set of eyes as an OC provides significant team improving advice and organization on the offensive side of the ball which translates to wins instead of losses. Yet here we are year 3 with a damn vacancy again at essentially the 2nd most significant staff position on the team and a circus of miscues along with field goals instead of TDs consistently coming from the offense. Its just a real head scratcher...If Im not mistaken the last head coach to call his own plays and win a NC was Jimbo over a decade ago. It just doesnt work.

I wonder if it’s because there isn’t anyone currently available that he wants on his team. He knows everybody from Gator Nation to the administration to the Bull Gators have all made it clear we all want to see him hire an OC. In fact, it is widely understood that mid-season hiring an OC was a necessary condition for continued employment. Yet he still hasn’t hired one. There has to be a logical explanation beyond just stubbornness.

Butting heads with the Gator Nation, administration and Bull Gators is not a recipe for long term success at UF. Its like speed bagging your own sack and trying to stand up straight.

This alone is cause for termination. When your offense lags almost everyone else in the conference, you have to change something. If you don't have a coordinator, you have to bring one in. The reason is arrogance, not so much stubbornness. Stubbornness would imply that he understands he's wrong, but he's just too dug in to make the change. It's not that. He has himself convinced he can fix it by himself. Running the offense without a coordinator is an arrogant position to take for any head coach, regardless of how well their team performs on offense. He's doing that plus not performing. A toxic combo.
