    Where is the beef? LOL

Billy was never going to hire an offensive coordinator type, this board or Gator Nation, would ever "approve of".

Going over the projected two deep roster, while watching a Gator podcast doing the same last night,
it seems to me that UF is more experienced at most position groups, deeper, and with better talent than
any previous team under Napier. With a little help from guys like Wilson, Hanks, Brown and a few more incoming
from the recruiting and transfer portal, UF just might be moving up in the SEC rankings.

Guy makes what 7 Million + perks, not to mention the prestige of the job? Ya'll really thought he was going
to get a Kellen Moore type to step in? Napier's future at UF lives or dies, this year, I think most of us agree on that.

While injuries (like last year) could easily derail the Gator train in 25, the roster suggests, with good coaching
and a few breaks, that UF could be a top 12 ball club this year / playoff contender.

Napier has already said on Gators Breakdown one of the main reasons he was hired at UF was for his offense and play calling.
How many of you would risk a 7 Million dollar job on an OC, (that UF could actually get to come), if you were in Napier's position?
Napier is going to be doing the shooting with his shiny new gun - he's got the QB, the offensive line and some damn good running
backs. He does need some of the receivers to come through. Napier ain't trusting a new gunslinger when he has finally built a
roster with a chance to do something.

I'm not saying this is right or wrong, but it's not beyond my realm of comprehension as to why he is making his offensive coordinator
decisions the way he is. I can't fault a man for sticking with his personal truths.

I CAN, and will, blame him if UF stumbles around to another mid or lower level SEC season again. The time for talk has passed.
Put up or shut up time. Year 4, Gator Nation does not want excuses, we want wins!

I never understood the idea that he was hired because of his offensive play calling. He’s never had a great track record of that.

Just quoting the man from his Gators Breakdown interview. As far as the validity or facts behind that statement.......... well, I can't prove it.

Yeah pretty much what 62 said. As I recall his offense was brought up as an issue when news broke he was being hired. But like you ALLUDED (eat it skink) to, it’s put up or shut up this season. Hopefully he proves a lot of us doubters wrong.

According to one article I read, Calloway is to have more development in creating plays (if I am understanding correctly). If true, the plays Calloway creates could be installed/rejected at Napier's discretion. I will have to say, with Lagway at the helm, the Gators offense needs to open-up, be explosive, finish drives, and capitalize in red zone scoring opportunities. We settled on too many FG's rather than TD's! The Gators offense was not efficient. We were 120 out of 134 schools for the number of plays run per game, with an average of 63.5 ppg. In the last three games we played, the average increased to 69.7 ppg. Our last game, we ran 80. UcheaT averaged 74.6. I feel the goal should be closer to 70 by mixing up the tempo, and not always use the hurry up offense like Tennessee. My two cents!

In lieu of Billy thinking he is a great OC I wonder if the overtures to go after Muschamp this offseason were actually to get Muschamp to be our OC and not defensive coordinator. Same style....same philosophy.

If true, great. But Napier still has to call the plays Callaway is supposedly going to install.

Qb's need to make plays in the redzone. The plays can be called but its their job to make that throw.
