LOL. Where did I say it was catastrophic(nice spelling btw)? Also, I was discussing food, not everything. Try reading more, posting less. Food isn't 3%.

So this is easy. You are ALREADY paying a monthly carriage fee. How is this so hard to grasp. They will lose money on the phones to get you to move over. You keep paying full boat thinking I'm not getting a "deal". I will find the deal and move around. I already showed how I actually save money by moving. Maybe you don't know this, but believe it or not companies will lose money at first to gain you as a customer because some people(like you) are too lazy to switch back and forth and take advantage of being the "new customer". You keep thinking I'm "losing money" on something I will be paying for anyways. This is like arguing with a 6 year old, except the 6 year old has an excuse...

Yeah ... again, it's a "do the math" problem. Verizon advertises $25/mo for "bring your own phone" plans. He's paying $150/mo for his plan with 3 "free" phones, vs. $75 for a bring your own phone plan for 3 phones. By my math, after the 6 years he's gloated about, he's paid $5400 for his 3 "free phones". His phone company must love him.

Ok. So some food prices are higher and overall inflation is 3% vs a target of 2%. Awesome. What are you arguing about then?

My phone is old. My kids have new phones. Good try though. And no, you won't get $25 a month for the data my kids and I use. Swing and a miss. And I guess you didn't bother to post taxes and fees that they hammer you with. You try having kids with the basic plan and get back to me.

Food is higher, that is a huge issue for people. Keep thinking it isn't. Look at the food prices at the store and eating out. It's an issue. You keep thinking it isn't. People are struggling.

People are always struggling. Head over to the the poverty thread where right wingers are blaming poor kids for being born. Complaining about inflation is lame. Supporting tax credits for the poor, funding snap, and other direct payments eases the burden on the targeted poor vs you shelling out a whopping $1.50 more every two weeks for eggs.

It's weird how this keeps changing from 6.year old phones and business plans to now your kids with brand new phones ... your kids on the business plan? Did you renew your overpriced long term contract to get your kids new phones?

Anyway ... if you want to believe you've been visited by the phone fairy, and that your phone company didn't recover the cost of the phone through your long term contract, then I don't know what to tell you...

I'm not a right winger. Complaining about inflation is lame? Really, that is your argument? Thanks for conceding defeat. Appreciate it. I do support many of those things to help the poor. Too bad you are too ignorant to grasp that inflation is hurting the poor along with the working and middle class.

I renewed in 21. Phones had a 2 year commitment that other carriers would've paid for me to break but wanted to wait for the new Iphone to be released and then I'll move us to a new carrier and get last years model for myself for free and the kids will keep theirs for a few years. Then they will be old enough to get their own phones. Good try. But I guess if I were trying to argue there isn't inflation I'd be grasping at straws also LOL.

The funny thing about data, they all offer unlimited data..... up to a certain point. Then they just slow down your phone.
When I had my kids on my cell plan, I just called every six months or so to get a better plan or to threaten At&t that I was leaving. I'd get that "free phone" sometimes too. You don't have to jump ship all the time.
I also heard you can sell your phone just as they come out with the new one for a high price (close to the price for a new one) and just pay for it instead of signing another contract. But don't think they aren't getting you and you've pulled a fast one on them. Nope.

Its easy to argue against things I never said. Show me on this list of every post I made here that I suggested inflation doesnt hurt the poor.. or anyone. Lie about other posters positions and claim victory like a 3rd grader when everyone can just glance down and see you are straight up lying.. or maybe you are just confused? I never made that claim and you owe me an apology for that lie.

Yes, you can call and threaten to leave. I did that twice with Spectrum before pulling the plug on the cord a few years ago and they will definitely give you a discount. Go surf Verizon or T-mobile they have offers for people to switch over and it's usually a good deal. I'm not pulling a fast one at all, but using their promotions to get customers to save myself money. Some are arguing that isn't possible but they aren't very bright I guess.

Did you check my link I posted on the previous page? They are not in the business to lose money, even on new customers. My kids were the first ones to alert me to this game they play. You will pay for the phone, that data, those text messages, you just won't know how. The only way to know is if you have a friend you can compare plans/billing with, who is with the same carrier, joined at the same time, but chose to pay for their phone. Good luck.
