This sorta reminds me of something I read in a review in the new yorker as I was trying to fall asleep (it didn't help) "We all have multiple personalities now; we are performing constantly. It’s exhausting. It’s exhilarating. It’s making us manic. It’s making us depressed"
I just looked at the member list and there were/are 20 members. You are not listed but I looked through the Gentleman's Club thread and found a couple of posts of yours listed as GUEST. Aug 17 2018 was the last post I found of yours.
Yeah, my access was revoked--I wasn't really given a reason, but I have a pretty good idea why. (I may have even broached the subject not too terribly long ago....). (But thx for the info. Kinda' helps put things in a general timeline).
He was a big defender here of conspiracy theories like the Seth Rich theory. I lurked there for a short time after they left, but stopped. I wonder if they still come over here and make fun of us over there like they did years ago.
Ah yes, G_Gordon_Gator. Liddy, as I frequently referred to him. There's been some mention from 51 and 92 of a secret invitation only forum started by an unknown former poster as a precursor of the final exodus that took the grumbling ingrates to their promised land where presumably they continue to chatter in safety behind locked gates. I don't know who started that particular secret site, but have nothing to lose in adding this tidbit to the current conversation. Doc Zaius, a former GC member who was banned 10 or so years ago and had more alternate GC accounts than you can count (and still may) and I traded information a few years back. DZ may or may not have been the person who started the site mentioned above. I don't know, but he told me of one that he had started, and gave me a link to it. Unfortunately I have lost that link so cannot confirm if the one Zaius started and the one 51 and 92 posted in are one in the same. Zaius told me the person who posted here as G Gordon Gator - Liddy - was indeed the 'mastamind' behind the cowardly flight. (The nature of their departure reminds me of the Colts deserting Baltimore for what they perceived as the greener gridiron of Indianapolis. But I digress...) Anyway Zaius said Liddy had carried a grudge against GC's mods and staff for years, since he posted on this site 15 or 20 years ago as Mastagator, and wanted to exact a bit of revenge. Hence his rage resulting in the manipulative machinations that lured his followers away.
I will add, from time to time I think Liddy has returned with an alternate account alias and is once again posting here. Some others with whom I have discussed this possibility disagree with me.
Not sure about 'cowardly' but i would submit it wasn't quite as advertised. I signed on bc it was sold as temporary. Obviously, it didn't remain temporary. For my part, at the end of the day, I'd rather post here exchanging blows over politics (even taking some licks) against numbers, than there, being part of a chorus (...and other stuff...). Whatever. It appears the world is big enough for 2 Gator sites. C'est la vie.
The only people I have on ignore are the true trolls or people just not accepting of reality. And there are a few. and by the way, when you block someone, you do have the option of letting them see your posts or not (ignore vs block). I think I have everyone on ignore, so they can all see my posts. I do that more for the threads I start in the den on other sports, figure some of those folks might be interested in that info.
Wait...how do I block you...er, some one, hypothetically speaking? (Jk--but thx for info--didnt realize there was a dif bt blocking n ignore. I only know how to ignore).
if you do it from a page like this by clicking on someone’s name, you have the option to block, which means they can’t see your posts. If you go to your “ People You Block or Ignore” page, at the bottom there’s an ignore option.
I do not have anyone blocked or ignored. I just went to the feature and it has box that says "block above member(s) totally" with a box. It is checked but I could uncheck it. Just not a feature I would use. But maybe that is what the reference is to?
