Any word on NavyGator

I remember blocking you and 1 other poster several years back after you two reported me to the mods trying to get me banned, I think I banned you guys for a week or so.

I think I’ve been here since early 2000’s.

Used to get into the weeds a lot more, and got banned once or twice.

At some point I realized TH was like mental masterbation, and just satisfying a need to debate but without changing anyone’s mind.

I don’t post as much as I used to, but I love a good thread that actually teaches me something (lots of informed posters), in between the partisan attacks (that I also am not immune to).

 

They weren't constantly being banned. That's the point. Their opinion didnt match reality. GGG's account is literally still clear.

He didnt like that his over the top stuff got deleted from time to time...and I mean... Over.. the.. top.
Yet he would whine and cry behind the scenes when someone else did less.

I wish I could turn my inbox public. His brash masculine persona would melt away with that reality.

Some good posters left here with that group. Some have returned under new names. Those guys could have been spared the trouble had they really known.

 

I've seen GGG on the other board when I lurk over there once in a while. He comes off as a guy that laughs at his own jokes while the rest of the room just stares in awkward silence. Just comes across as a guy that tries too hard to sound as intelligent as he thinks he is.

 

I found it. You were usually referred to as Douchen a couple of times I saw you referred to as Douche Bag.

 

I agree. I don't remember the guys who left getting 'constantly banned.' I remember a couple of posters who were getting temp bans regularly and they were finally permanently banned. But that wasn't the exodus guys.

He ain't coming back anyway, but it's apparent that he left some scar tissue, so maybe it's time to pull the curtain back, and give the forum a peek behind the scenes of the "GGGreat Wizard!".

It’s really not that hard to post respectfully, even if you are really pushing back on someone. Facts speak for themselves.

 

I was banned twice long before my mod days.
Once for three days and once for a week

 

I got some thread bans when COVID was heating up. @HallGator (may he RIP) was very patient with me.

I get annoyed and block people, then later unblock everyone. Day drinking might or might not be involved.

Possibly been banned a couple times, but in my defense, Franks kept running out of bounds behind the line

 

Hey all.

Was checking out the recruiting forum and saw there was a thread on me (notification thingy got my attention).

I am doing great, just taking a break from TH. Trying to position the company I work for into a better place so that I can retire soon. Purchasing and logistics are two of my departments and still somewhat of a crap show out there. Who knew that my suppliers in the Netherlands and Belgium buy some raw materials from Russia? Anyway, kind of crazy at work and I need to push through this to leave my boss in a good spot.

Kind of alarming to read that the OP thought I may have passed. Just weird to read that. Still healthy as a horse. Hitting MT Biking and Tennis hard with a decent amount of light runs, swims, hikes and kayaking. Supposed to have a big bike race this weekend, but a decent wreck a week ago has me sidelined from hard trails for a couple of weeks, nothing major.

Boys and wife are great, everyone healthy. Me and the oldest had covid a few months ago but it was like a one day flu.

The only alarming part of my life is that we were gerrymandered to now have Marjorie Taylor Greene as our Rep so I get to see those signs around my house. Odd.

Not that I give him any thought but I remember him being one of the biggest chucklheads on here and trying too hard to be a macho tough guy against you when you posted over there early on. (I think I said it to you before, you were way too nice about it too). Can only imagine what he was like behind the scenes.

 

I'll tell you a little something about GGG that I am sure you guys already knew, he is a prick of the first degree. I was careful not to divulge the name of the super secret site or the names of the guys who made the exodus and became members but GGG invited disclosure. I'd like to say I am disclosing no names except GGG's and the name of the site he setup for the exodus. When you read the message I got from his beloved site a couple of weeks ago when this thread came out you will understand. GGG loves to do things in secret, He didn't have the nads to confront me directly, just under the veil of secrecy. If he truly thinks he is hurting my feelings by banning me from a site that has had 2 posts in the last year he is an idiot. Note to GGG I never said your site was a fail just that the members moved on to chatter. Your site was set up as a temporary meeting place nothing more and I clearly stated that.

Here is a screen shot of the log in message I got the other day. It obviously came from GGG as he was the administrator. PS: Hope you get a laugh out of my browsing history at the top of the screen shot.

 

Further confirming my belief that a person classifying themselves as an "alpha" is a pretty good signal that they aren't even close to being one but really wish everybody thought they were. BTW, he just inadvertently admitted that he still comes here.

 

He was ALL about declaring himself an alpha - makes me think he is far from it
