1. 1,500 Jews were just slaughtered recently in Israel 2. Anti-Jew protests are breaking out all over the world 3. Is Islamophobia a real concern in the US? Bless your heart!
The student just is misinformed? Not supporting Hamas and isn’t truly antisemetic .. I bet there are a bunch of excuse the Hamas pandering posters can come up with..
I’m guessing you are joking but this guy is on the Bulwark podcast every Thursday and breaks down all of the legal implications and nuances of all of Trumps legal troubles. I think he has experience reporting on SCOTUS and is very insightful. The Bulwark Podcast: Insurrection and Its Consequences on Apple Podcasts
1). And more than twice that have been killed in Palestine since those awful terrorist attacks. What does that have to do with Islmaphobia or Antismitism in the US? 2). And Islamophobia is raging on the right in the US. Two American Muslims (one a child) were killed in a hate crime since the terror attacks in Israel. 3). Yes, it is. Just look at people like yourself. Bless your heart right back, sweet cheeks. Both Islamophobia and Antisemitism need to be stomped out in this country. Nothing outrageous about it at all.
I'm confused. All I hear is the protestors are protesting that Israel is killing innocent citizens. But where were all of these protestors when Russia invaded Ukraine? I didn't see massive protests on campuses, roadways getting blocked, or sit downs in the US Capitol. Russia bombed civilian apartments, schools, and hospitals. What is the difference between the two events?
You're kidding, right? The support for Ukraine was pretty staunch. Some posters here changed their avatar to the Ukraine flag. As for protests, I'm just going to guess that there are far more Islamic and Jewish students in the U.S. than there are Ukrainian.
Are we supplying military aid to Russia? Are both parties entwined with their lobbying efforts in the government? Do we have a long standing relationship where we vote in lockstep at the UN or use our veto on the security council in their favor to protect them from censure? Maybe if we were doing those things we'd see those protests. I think you'd have to imagine we were actively aiding their invasion and sending them aid to make the comparison.
Why would you US citizens protest against our enemy? Implicit in domestic protests against Israel is protesting against our government's support of israel. It's the inverse in Russia so it's a pretty difficult comparison.
Again, you're kidding right? Every single person with a Ukrainian flag on their car, front of their house, in their yard etc. You live in Oklahoma so perhaps it’s not as prevalent there in trump country but it’s everywhere in Virginia. As for protests - I don’t think that’s all that typical to protests your country’s enemies. For example - I don’t recall any anti ISIS or anti Al Queda protests in the US but safe to say they weren’t popular here.
