I'm watching this on SEC+ and am not sure if the adds are universal, but this add has aired several times. Was shocked to see such political shlock during a college football game. Would be interested to hear what's wrong with CRT from a critic.

These losers are inserting their political nonsense into my college football watching time. Stay out of my sports!

I guess we ALL now agree that politics should not be in sports? Or only politics you don’t like?

Blacks will see right through that bullshit. Racism is alive and unwell in some quarters.

I believe Tim Tebow was in a pro-life ad (the noun, not the verb) during the 2010 Super Bowl. Politics end up in sports ads…

Forget politics. Why can't I watch college football on TV without constant commercials starring Patrick Mahomes, Deion Sanders, and Nick Saban? It's enough to make me stop watching.

It's even more irritating to think about these multimillionaires taking commercial jobs away from actors who might actually need the money.

They're probably contractually obligated to tithe to the SAG, so it's all good.

They didn't make the ad for Black people. They made the ad for white people who want a Black person to tell them that it's okay for them to be angry at anybody who tries to talk about the racial problems in this country. It's typical right-wing idiocy. I'd say it misunderstands critical race theory, but that would imply it's a mistake. It's not.

OP we could start with post #14. CRT does not ask "Is racism present?" It assumes racism is present and asks "How did racism manifest itself in this situation?"

If you assume an ad critiquing CRT is a racist evil plot of whiteness against black people, then you are hook, line, and sinker a brainwashed goner, and you've drank the Kool-Aid. You are in the CRT matrix, and you need to take the red pill and come back to reality.

To run the ad, assumes people would give an eff about critical race theory, or would ever encounter it… anywhere. If politicians didn’t make it their issue du jour (right up there with drag queens, and “war on woke”… whatever that is) it would not be a thing.

I would suggest if a person thinks critical race theory is a threat worthy of a political campaign or bizarro political advertising, it might be that person who is “hook, line, and sinker brainwashed, and drank the Kool-Aid”

PSA: Gaslighting is a form of psychological manipulation in which the abuser attempts to sow self-doubt and confusion in their victim’s mind. Typically, gaslighters are seeking to gain power and control over the other person, by distorting reality and forcing them to question their own judgment and intuition.
Good assessment, but it does have an insidious gaslighting and shaming parents of black children who know their own truth and experience. It is clear the ad is really about setting up an entire generation of kids to have blinders from the entire system being against them.

Apparently the “ad” is pretty much just two tiktok videos. The teacher did not give permission for her image to be used. Even the guy preaching against CRT may or may not have been involved in the ad (seems like he didn’t respond, so no way to know if it’s an authentic video or he’s a paid influencer). The teacher is a real teacher but whatever she’s doing has nothing to do with CRT, but who cares, it was a viral video on social media and that’s good enough!
