Yeah and you could probably look better on a drag strip driving a tesla roadster than John Force driving a Yugo.
OSU's last 3 classes were ranked 5, 2 and 4. Stroud was surrounded by 4 and 5 star players...AR....not so much.

 

All can be true. Stroud is most likely better than Richardson but then he also plays for a top 5 CFB passing game coach and has better teammates.

 

If Carolina gets the top pick as is being reported, I would say the chances of AR going first significantly increase.

Wow dumbest trade ever. Panthers give up a bunch to move up 8 spots to take AR I guess. He might have been available at 9 but the Bears snookered them I guess.
If they do take AR then they have to play him immediately, which is the worst thing for his development.

 

CJ Stroud looks to be the guy unless they trade back.

 

Short answer (This has NOTHING TO DO WITH AR) sandbagging is NOT illegal.

 

CBS had panthers picking AR. Obv cbs could be wrong.
Still a dumb trade.

 

Watched them throw. Every one of Strouds passes were on the money, timing, placement. AR was more erratic. Excelled in the deep pass though, 4 of them.

 

My only argument to that is OSU has 5 stars all over the field. Switch AR and Stroud and I bet AR puts those numbers up.

If he isn’t the next Mahomes with what they gave up, the panthers made a bad decision. I’d be way more comfortable with picks.

 

Id bet he still had bad throws. It t’s not the numbers that are concerning, it’s watching him play. Stroud is by far a more polished product. Predicting what a guy may be is way different than what one already is.

 

AR consistently threw behind wide open receivers on short crossing routes and overthrew receivers deep.

 

Some prognosticators are saying that the Panthers would sign/keep Darnold for 1 or 2 years if they sign AR with the first pick. I think he's a free agent this coming year.

What in this stat would suggest drafting someone number one? Coverages only get tighter in the NFL. Accuracy is even more critical

 

Darnold to me should be brought back regardless who the Panthers pick. I just don’t see any of these guys ready to start day 1.
