Anthony Richardson should be the #1 pick in the NFL draft...

I completely agree, Anthony Richardson is an absolute game changer. It's hard to believe we were able to win as many games as we did with the team we had, but Richardson was a huge reason why. His quickness and agility on the field are second to none, and he always seems to have something special planned.

Tebow, Tua, Manziel - absolute game changers. Richardson, not so much.

Yeah, but now we're talking about the, draft and the NFL.
As pros, Tebow and Manziel, not so much. Tua had a good few years, but is leading the league in concussions and has become a medical liability for the Phins.

From all reports I've seen, AR is a great kid and I wish him the best. However, he has not shown he is a game changer at the college level; even against the likes of Vandy. I just don't see him being able to magically turn that "game changer" switch on in a league where the players and schemes are better than what he struggled against in college.

I think Justin Fields was better than AR in college, and all Fields can do now in the NFL is run the football, or else he’ll end up throwing 5-6 INTs a game

But he signed a 4-year $18+ million completely guaranteed contract so if your goal is to make a ton of money, and that is what all players' goal is, he greatly succeeded.

Does anyone think if an agent told Tebow he needed to dial back his game while playing in college to protect his draft status that Tebow would have dialed it back and cost his team wins? Im going to say not in a million years. When youre the leader as a QB you dont play at 50% of your capability and unfortunately our team got just that with AR this year. Kid could have had a spectacular year but didnt want to put his body at risk.

I think this is a bit extreme. I do think he always had a plan that this was it at the college level, but to me he just didn't grasp the nuances of the game: what is a good opportunity to run the ball and who is truly open versus who you prefer to throw to. To me, he is a much more athletic version of Felipe Franks. But where things diverge is that Franks wanted to be The Man whereas AR wants to be one of the guys. His body language when things went south was VERY telling.

I just don't see those traits working in the NFL. If it still exists after the next season or two, I can see him being something of a marketing tool for the USFL.

Then let's talk about how much money he may possibly make, and not about his ability to play NFL level football. I don't see him ever playing a meaningful down in the NFL... but he'll be a millionaire.

I wish AR the best in the NFL, but something was off at QB this year, the sum was less than its parts. DOn't know if it was:

    1) poor QB coaching/or a not very coachable player, or a player who was listening to people outside program.

AR's mechanics degraded as season wore on. Don't know why.

    2) AR was limited in ability to read defenses/go though progressions. Maybe he can improve this under better coaching.

    3) Basic passing game scheme w/ average WR corps didn't give AR much to work with.

Whatever it was, coaching, the player, the scheme, our passing game was so off and inconsistent this year.

I would normally expect a lot more in year two from an offensive-minded coach like CBN, but given our QB room, I don't know what to expect.

An OL that can provide a pocket might make a little difference too.

After the bowl game without him, I was in shock at how much of a difference he made.

Many people across the country feel the Gators looked worse than every team in a bowl game.

AR overcame a lot with this roster and scheme/coaching.

They had a little bit different supporting cast and coaching scheme.

Fields had 17 touchdowns and 11 interceptions this year.

Improved immensely from his rookie season.

I didn’t think Miller looked that bad, and think he would have looked much better playing behind the line AR played behind all year, plus Shorter.

AR was a supremely talented mixed-bag. Arguably, he lost the KY game all by himself.

You’re comparing a guy that played every game to a guy who couldn’t even practice all season. Not the same thing!

Richardson was obviously not coached properly his final year here but I still think he'll be a dumpster fire in the NFL.

What happens when he is a star at the next level...not good for us. I wish him the best but could exaggerate our coaching inadequacies.
