I will admit a significant fascination with Germany/Nazi's/Hitler.

I was a History major at UF and studied under Geoffrey Giles.
He is still at UF I think. In fact I was a membe of the UF "History Forumn".

It is disturbing to some to even mention interest in Nazi's and Hitler, especially among our Jewish friends.

But my interest is not a sympathetic one. My interest is as a horrified history student that found it almost unfathomabile that, in the 20th century, a modern, cultured, western industrialized society like Germany could plunge into the darkest corner of cultural behavior.

How better to get to know evil than to study it? Ignorance or avoidance is NOT GOOD with these kinds of people. Just look at what is happening today.

I mean, I'm 64 and my dad fought in WW2 in the army air corp. (what they called the air force in WW2).

The jerrys became like the Mongols or the Romans. Conquering barbarians and they got exactly what they deserved. (IMO).

Hugh Treavor Roper - Many people consider him one of the greatest authorities. (And interestingly the A-Hole owner of FOX, Rupert Murdock, was instrumental in damaging the pedigree of Roper with his insistence to publish the "Table Talk" which turns out to be ficticious.
