Ah. Seems a bit more visible. My co-worker has driving-age daughters and is worried that these low visibility cars would make it easier for police impersonators to target people.

Sorry your thread got hijacked; from that video, it seems ridiculous.

100 in a 30 seems pretty far fetched. On a busy street that close to the stadium on a game day? Maybe 50 or 60 I might believe.

Road pirates is about right, the police regularly take in more in civil forfeiture than reported losses in burglaries each year.

This morning on the radio someone was saying 55 in a 40?

I’ll wait for the rest of the facts to come out, but it seems that the officers initial approach to Hill’s car was quite casual for a 100 mph stop in a 30 mph zone. We’ll see/know when the blanks in the information are filled in.

The Reddit thread I saw discussing was all over the place, and even turned it into a joke (“he was going the speed of light in a school zone”, etc). So who knows how fast he was really going. 45 in a 30 wouldn’t be “reckless driving” though, doesn’t it need to be at least 30 over?

Problem now is no way you can even trust the cops take unless there is video evidence showing some very high speeds. I will say that Hill did sound like a punk and rolling up his deep tinted window and trying to order the officer to hurry up was not a good idea. That doesn’t mean some of those officers weren’t over the top and shouldn’t be given pink slips. Both things can be true!

That sounds more believable but then there would be no reason for multiple cops to show up to write him a ticket.

Tyreek Hill didn’t listen to what the officer asked him to do and the situation escalated with the officer being an idiot himself.

Hill was actually on CNN last night and is definitely playing the victim card which based on his long history of abusing children and women, is a bit ironic. He might be a little better off keeping his mouth shut but based on his past, that is not going to happen.

Hill is a terrible human being, but the whole city is white knighting for him.

Yeah, there was zero reason for the cops to escalate the way they did, but he was hardly innocent. He was being an entitled asshole from the beginning, bitching out the cop for daring to knock on his window, ordering him to go ahead and give him the ticket because he was going to be late to the game, and then refusing to lower his window after multiple requests. That type of attitude isn’t going to end well with most cops.

We expect better “customer service” skills from retail workers and restaurant servers. Write the ticket and be done with it. Some cops are way too thin skinned.

Agree. But we know better. So why ask for it with a terrible attitude? Not surprising though. Hill has a long history of anger issues and entitlement. And the way his fans are reacting here, he is just going to get worse.

Exactly, and its not like the person has to formally accept the ticket for it to be a citation.

Did you see his car? It can probably go from 0-100 in 5 seconds. I have to catch myself at times in my crappy little 3 series.
