David Stone has set August 26 to announce. What is your prediction?

 

I would love for the Gators to land him... Oklahoma seems to be in the lead, but we're still in his top 3.

Stone and McCray would be insane. But getting both of them will be next to impossible.

Sorry, not Candyman, but I've been looking into these two guys and thought it would be okay to drop in.

 

Do we know if Stone is coming to the BBQ. Recruiting enters a dead period at the end of July. If I recall correctly, you can't have anything more than phone contact in dead periods. The last in person contact leading into a dead period could be an advantage with his announcement date of August 26.

I'll be turning 70 on August 26 so maybe that's a good omen. I don't need or want anything beyond good health so this would be an outstanding birthday present. Make it so David Stone.

 

Hopefully he has learned to like having sand in his shoes.

 

He's from Oklahoma, but he spent his last two years in Florida at IMG... Who on Earth escapes Oklahoma and goes to Florida just to go back to that sandy land-locked place - Oklahoma?

That's what I'm hoping...

Maybe the wrong sand in his shoes? He seems to like Miami.

After 2 years, he should be well adjusted and thinking of the state of Florida as home.

I'm not buying Michigan State and Oregon. The PAC 12 is a mess and he'd freeze his butt off at Michigan State.

My gut feeling as of today is 1. Miami, 2. Florida, and 3 Oklahoma.

Life Wallet is on life support... and John is in real trouble with the corporation. Who would go to that school in a conference that is starting to see it's schools look for other conferences to play in. Granted, that's not happening right now, but you have to ask yourself WHY? Why go to a school that might have 3 fans in the sands watching you play football?

Who wants to play in front of seat-covers pretending to be fans in the stands?

Hope you are right, but he didn't come to the cookout in advance of the dead period and his August 26 announcement date. If he's not on any of candyman's BBQ lists, he's not in Gainesville which is not a good indicator. I wonder where he is that is more important. Maybe some of you who are twitter update watchers can check to see if there is any indication where David Stone is this last weekend heading into the dead period?
