LSU won. Appleby had a big game for Wake.

I will always remember Andrew and keyontae at both the SEC tournaments, two of the best players in the tournament. CMW couldn’t put a better cast around them and tried to get them to slow down the offense, rather telling!

He had a fine cast around those guys, including Kerry Blackshear, Tre Mann, Scottie Lewis and Noah Locke.

I got some pushback when I posted that I thought Nembhard was in the conversation for our best player along with Key during his sophomore season (although by the end of that season I had also crowned Key as our best player due to his overall game improving beyond just scoring).

My post count on here pretty much cratered after Nembhard left the program as I was convinced I wasn't watching the same game as just about everyone else on here who was so down on Nembhard's play at UF. Seeing a passer/playmaker like him leave the Gator program was brutal from my perspective.

For the next 2 years I recorded and watched all of Gonzaga's games just to get to watch Nembhard play. Wasn't sure he'd translate to the NBA, but I'm very happy to see his success.

I removed Gonzaga from my DVR auto-record list last week.

It just seemed like we had too much talent on the floor playing tight or slow for it to be a Nembhard issue. I don't remember him having a critical flaw here other than people complaining about the pace he ran the offense and maybe questioning his athleticism. One of the complaints about White was his recruiting but if Key makes it to the NBA that would be 3 NBA players in Nembhard, Key and Tre on one team at one time. Not to mention a top transfer in KB.

Scottie Lewis also played in a few NBA games last season. Glover made 1st-Team Southern Conference last season. Locke was solid when he started out at UF.

I was fairly adamant that AN should transfer out of UF. When he was in high school, I was posting that he would be an NBA player. I couldn’t stand watching him run that slow down offense in his sophomore year at UF. His career and Glover’s career were being ruined at UF. I was happy when they both moved on even though they were 2 of my favorite players. I also wanted Lewis to transfer somewhere where he could succeed. Fortunately, that unfortunate chapter in Gator hoops is over. Hopefully, Golden will turn things around.

Loaded team even if they all hadn't reached their playing maturity at that time. There was much to work with.
