They're past grappling with that, and are content to support a rapist because.......well, reasons.

We (they) are now in the phase of pretending that reality is not actually reality. By appearances, that seems to work pretty well if you've got enough people willing to do it with you.

    Strange times.

To the last few posters who asked a legitimate question, I'll bring them back to part of the OP:

    "Afghanistan cluster…
    Ukraine going off the rails…
    Gaza - Israel …
Now major war is a given between Israel and Iran."

My answer is we have two flawed people and candidates. In general, the policies and direction of the candidate with the (R) by his name are preferable to me than the policies and direction of whomever is guiding our current POTUS. I do not worship DJT. I wouldn't want him to date my daughters; but, I can focus on what I believe would be a better country with him as POTUS vs. our current one.

I'm okay knowing I might be wrong. Are you?

You're aware of the conspiracy to overturn a federal election?

I mean, of course you are. You're intelligent. You're informed.

But you would still actually knowingly cast a ballot for a man who employed the powers of the presidency to conspire to overturn an election for President?

Is there a respectful way to tell someone, before bowing yourself out of the conversation, that certain actions cause you to lose all respect for that person? I mean, there are just certain things in a person that I can never countenance, can never bring myself to tolerate; Pedophilia. Rape. Elderly abuse. Voting for a person who clearly tried to disenfranchise millions of voters by conducting a conspiracy to overturn an election.

To each his own, I guess. Cheers and out.

ever hear of something called kompromat?

fact. Russian way of doing business is getting compromising material on anyone that you might be doing business with now or in the future to gain leverage in any business negotiations

fact - djt visited Russia multiple times trying to do business there

fact - djt has always had a thing for young women.

if you honestly think that he wasn't offered young women when he was there and that it wasn't videotaped, I don't know what to tell you. You are simply refusing to recognize reality at that point just like djt refuses to admit that he lost the election and the rioters in the WH were on a guided tour.

fact - djt got practically all his financing for the last couple of decades from DB.

fact - DB admitted to and was fined millions for laundering russian funds

fact - trump jr bragged that they didn't need banks to finance golf because they had russian investors

fact - djt campaing manager met with Russian agents and gave them polling data on who to target prior to the 2016 election.

fact - russia has a long running misinformation campaign targeting american voters

I can source links for all these facts but something tells me you wouldn't believe them.

I will tell you that I had business with an Armenian/Russian group at one time and was invited to Moscow to go to a meeting. The guy I interfaced with, an armenian in LA, specifically warned me about kompromat and that I would be offered whatever I wanted to get leverage on future business negotiations but I better not go to my room, their room or do anything in a car provided to me as I would be under constant surveillance. That is why I had been invited to go to Moscow, strictly to gain kompromat. First class plane tickets, hotels, meals, security escort, a week in Moscow, all provided for a 1 hour meeting with Vitaly G.. Ended up meeting with him at Beverly Hilton for dinner and drinks after which "entertainment" and recreational drugs were offered true to form.

OT - here is a story about Stefan, my Armenian contact, a real interesting character to say the least. got busted bringing coke into the US and had a case go all the way to the supreme court which he won. He worked for Vitaly Grigoriants, owner of the Armenian Industrial Construction bank. At one point, they were washing Russian money through Hollywood as executive producers of movies and buying some large real estate tracts. Bought 10k acres in and around Waikoloa Village on the big island of Hawaii. It was certainly an interesting few years working around that group. Learned a lot about the hollywood and how there is a whole industry built around bringing in "fresh money" to finance movies whether they are any good or not. Everybody makes money except the investors. Producers, actors, studios...all get paid if the movie busts or not. The two ultimately had a falling out and Stefan ended up in jail in Russia before it was overturned and now there are cases in the US between the two.

Trump was found liable for sexually assaulting E Jean Carroll. He was sued for raping a 12-year old. He was accused of sexually assaulting dozens of women. Only an idiot would think that Trump did not rape someone.

Trump is a mentally deteriorating rapist that stole classified documents and fomented an insurrection. He paid hush money to kill adultery stories before the 2016 election. He gave Israeli intelligence to Russian operatives (confirmed this week by Israel). His efforts to sweep covid under the rug led to hundreds of thousands of deaths. He, Kushner and Ivanka sold American foreign policy to the highest bidder. He wants to abandon our traditional allies and cozy up to autocrats and dictators. He has been a Russian operative since the 80s. He wants to get the presidency back and never leave it until he dies to avoid jail.

Nothing Biden has ever done in his life comes close to any one thing on that list.

    I apologize for saying you.lied.
But do you honestly believe Trump raped that psycho woman? I think Trump was wrongfully convicted of sexual battery (which can include rape)

Trump is an idiot but he has also been out of office for well over three years. These conflicts have nothing to do with Donald Trump. The issue is that a lot of Americans (who again don’t like Trump) have no faith whatsoever in our 81-year-old President, who struggles to put together a full coherent sentence these days, to lead us through these difficult times.

We also have four years of Trump "leadership," so we know what kind of idiot he truly is. Not to mention, many of the people who were part of his administration the first time quit, and are no longer supporting him. Is there anyone left in Trump's circle big and brave enough to the be adult in the room when Trump has an idiotic idea around foreign policy? It's truly scary to think about.

So, a person never convicted of rape is a rapist? I have to believe most Trump haters probably pine for leniency on sentencing and promote giving felons a 2nd chance. Frankly, I agree with the latter; however, the point is that many people have determined Trump's guilt without due process and have further "executed" him in their minds.

You're welcome to play the semantics game if you want, but a jury found him liable for sexual abuse. That doesn't sound very Christ-like.
