Pete Alonso has done really well in The Show at 1B. I would think that Cags projects to be even better. Did Pete ever hit over 30 homers in a Gator season? I think that he topped off around 14 and he is now a big star. Neither is a great glove at 1B but I might give Cags a small edge. Just saying that projecting Cags at #8 is insane.
He's got to have a 2nd season similar (not necessarily as great) to this year to be picked that high.
I don't know how much better his pitching will be, but I hope he keeps his batting skills polished. We need him to bat like he did last year. I also think he's an underrated first baseman.
Just looked at this and I sure hope they all sign . Must have a nice NIL program. They are gonna be hell to deal with for sure
I just don’t see it . Middle first round is my prediction… Unless he turns the pitching into a different look . Big question can Florida protect him in the lineup??
