American's trust in media at ALL TIME LOW..

I used way too much time watching it too. But not any more and I feel way better about everything. However I do get all the news I need without the hyperbole and editorial coloration...

I found way more time for me and what I want to do... without missing the news. No more cabal News... err... cable news for me.

Asking someone if they trust the media is like asking someone if they like Congress.

The answer is always the same. "I generally trust the media I watch but not all that other stuff out there". Very similar to "I'm ok with my congressperson but the other 434 of them suck"

 

Why in hell are you gloating?!? Have you forgotten that only hand-picked Russian journalists are allowed to report on the war in Ukraine, just one of many examples of citizens around the world who are getting only government allowed information. We have a free press and have it damn good here. There's a lot of BS out there, but it isn't coming from the MSM, i.e., the major newspapers, periodicals and network TV. It's coming from cable and non-cable extremist sites. Take your pick from which site(s).

One should also note when the phrase "fake news" came into regular use, who started it, and why. If that guy had had his way, the only journalists allowed to report would have been hand-picked......by him......and we'd be no different than Russia.

Instead of going "hahaha, the press sucks" and implicitly blaming the MSM, you should be lamenting any diminution of a free press. Of course, that's not your style.

 

Stop deflecting. The police have proven to be just as corrupt and untrustworthy as the media. Are you going to call them out or nah? Do you even have the courage to admit that politicians on both sides are corrupt?

Read post #28. I will stand behind that post and have never claimed anything different. Politicians & media are both crooked only your side paints the police as the bad guys. Then read post #33 I said there are a few bad police but as a whole they are good people.

 

So basically what you're admitting, after some coaxing and prodding, is that politicians, media and police are all untrustworthy entities. Thanks for agreeing with what I said on page 1. Good night!

Coaxing? My statements were made at the very first of this discussion between me and you. I took a couple of screen shots of those posts since you are obviously incapable of going back and reading them.
Now please explain to me where you coaxed and prodded this out of me.

 

You're not admitting that the police are corrupt with the same vitriol and vigor that you have for the corrupt media in any of those posts. Try again!

 

My stance hasn't changed since the beginning. The media & the politicians are corrupt. The police are fine except for a few individuals. It is that simple.

 

You’re almost there. The police are just as corrupt as the media. I can find just as many stories of police officers all over America planting drugs on and abusing suspects, falsifying arrest reports etc (and those are just the incidents that get caught on camera) as you can find of the media planting fake news. Say it with me: police, politicians and the media: All corrupt. Go ahead, say it.

 

There are 700000 police out there, if you could find 7000 incidents of illegal activity that would still only be 1%. You'd be hard pressed to find 1% of politicians who aren't on the take.

 

When you've got ex cia, ex politicians, news anchors who are spouses of politicians now prevalent in msm news...what you've got is propaganda.
