Haitian food > Cuban food They basically copied us. Masitas de puerco is really Haitian Griot but theirs isn't spicy and doesn't come with a side of pikliz Maduros and tostones? Man that is really Haitian Banane Pese and ours is better because we press and double fry both the ripe and green plantain versions. Rice and beans... not even comparable. All Caribbean islanders know Haitian rice is far superior. Cuban music is a copy of Haitian Kompa with less swag and it's in the wrong language Kreyol > weak unoriginal Spanish @92gator don't @ me

A'ight, NOW ya gone n dun it but good... Haitian cuisine > than Cuban??? Fightn words! Look, Haitian food is delicious. Not gonna lie (can't remember any specific dish, but I have enjoyed what I've tried). But Cuban food is world class. "Everyman's food" enough to support places like the Silver Ring, and mom n pop shops around the world... ....and world class enough to underpin worldly institutions like La Teresita, the Columbia (in part, anyway, as it's mostly Spanish), Versailles, Lorio's, Bongo's, and even JLo--who's Puerto Rican--when she went to open a high class restaurant, went with Cuban cuisine. So with due respect... Cuban > Haitian. (...I'll have to look into who inspired whom, as I must confess to not being versed enough on food history to speak to that count).
When it comes to whining no liberal can hold a candle to this guy. Every one of his MAGA rallies is essentially a 2-hour whine fest of him claiming victimhood.
All the Caribbean islands are basically a mix of African and whatever colonizer was present on the island. French cuisine is generally regarded as the gold standard for Europeans. Mix that with African cuisine brought by the slaves and you have the best and most sophisticated cuisine in the Caribbean. Jamaican food, as much as I like it, looks like British food… a pile of good tasting slop on a plate. Cubans, Puerto Ricans, and all the other Spanish speaking islands make you rice and beans and the beans come from a heated up can of Goya. Unacceptable. A Haitian would never! I rest my case. All jokes aside, Cubans make some bomb steaks, sandwiches, coffee, and plenty of great main dishes. One of my favorite cuisines! Everything I said is just in good island rivalry talk. Not serious.
