It doesn't have to be all drugs, but weed and alcohol are very similar and the only reason marijuana is illegal in the first place is because the hemp industry threatened the paper and textile industry. They also feared Mexicans that's enjoyed marijuana so it was a little of that mixed in as well.

Alcohol won't cause you to lose your mind in a short period of time? Are you serious or just messing with me?

    Sorry it’s your favorite man.

The new stuff isn’t anything like what was around 20-30 years ago.

But why listen to medical people how have seen the effects first hand.
Your personal experience trumps all others.

My go to is 51%. I know the new stuff. Why do you only address the costs? We'd ban everything in your world.

We can discuss it when HPTHC has been around and as widely used as alcohol. Until then you aren’t comparing anywhere near the same numbers of data points.

Does it matter that some think it’s “safer” than alcohol?

    Ignore it.
    Defend it.
    Do some research.
    Sit back and watch.

Some of you will listen, some take offense because of their personal experience or preferences.

I just pray your life isn’t touched when a young person is affected by CIP.

I went to my doctor last week. He gave me another lecture on the dangers of using ambien twice a week, my diet, my drinking, but said he had no problem with my weed use.

Way back in the 80s my dad's doctor urged him to use weed in lieu of alcohol. I know cuz he told me to go git 'em some.

Marijuana use is thousands of years older than alcohol. I'm not sure I need to wait on the research.

    Same goes for H20.

I know many won’t agree that HPTHC isn’t good, but knowing what I know now I can’t in good conscience let the idea that is some totally benign plant.

Canary is in the coal mine.

Watch the rates of psychosis and schizophrenia continue to shoot up as it becomes more widespread.
It may take 10 years, but it will happen.

If you want to be against marijuana use then the only consistent stance is to be against alcohol use as well. Otherwise you're just picking and choosing

    Yeah okay.

They were smoking 30-70% THC thousands of years ago.
Way less people over time have smoked vs drank you can’t even try to say otherwise.

we should ban sugar. There are millions of Americans that can be killed by just moderate amounts of sugar. Even if they only eat the OLD STUFF.

And I actually agree with you in a sense. I quit smoking years ago because I felt like marijuana got too strong and I didn't enjoy it anymore. But that doesn't change my opinion on it being essentially the equivalent of alcohol when it comes to danger
