Am I the only one who thinks this wasn’t random political violence?

Heroes to the LEFT?!?! If Trump was assassinated, the Pubs would put a candidate that would likely skate to victory over a flawed Biden. The only candidate arguably as or more flawed than Biden is Trump.

If Trump turns down the rhetoric, doesn’t he then become a RINO?

There is just too much evidence piling up to believe this was random. What I mean to say is, he got a ladder on the closest building to Trump... with a rifle... on the roof of the building that the cops we staging from?

But if there’s a conspiracy, who would be behind the conspiracy?!?! It wouldn’t be Biden or his supporters because he has the most to lose. Are you saying it’s the Pubs? Is that because they think Trump would be a danger to our Country? Or the secret service, who intimately knows the inner-workings of Trump and think he’s a danger to the Country? The local Pennsylvania police force?

Who is behind the conspiracy and why are they trying to murder the presumptive favorite to win the election?

Not sure what their motivations were, nor how they evaluated the situation IF it was intentional.

You might think that, but it is not so simple. Part of what vaulted Trump to the top of the heap in 2016 was this anti-establishment Republican movement. People wanted an outsider who was different than the party they viewed as incompetent and part of the problem. They didn't want an evangelical conservative like Mike Huckabee. They didn't want a neocon who thought America was the world's policeman like Marco Rubio. They didn't want a RINO like Romney or McCain. Trump was supposed to be the one person who could drain the swamp in the DC. MAGA was the faction with the plurality, and therefore the power, in the Republican voting block who were quite opposed to some of the other factions in the Republican voting block. The idea that they would all magically line up and vote for whoever the Republican Party nominates not named "Trump" is not a sure thing. They wouldn't have in 2016, and the question is has their opinion changed because of 4 years of Biden's handlers running the country? Maybe. Maybe not. It is hard to tell.

I am not saying there is a conspiracy, but the political motive on the part of Democrats would be to watch Republicans tear each other apart as they try to find a nominee to replace Trump. A Trump assassination before Trump had named Vance as VP would have led to all kinds of drama and mudslinging by the Republicans as they figure out who gets the nomination with the MSM being the arbiter between that mudslinging and chaos and the American voter who is watching it play out. That would have been a win-win for the DNC as Republicans all tear one another down and fight over who represents the party. It would have been the kind of game changer bombshell that would have changed the status quo to make people forget about Biden's bad debate.

I still believe that status quo game changer event will happen. The MSM or even the DNC will find something or manufacture something to change the state of the board to something more favorable to them.

We still have months until the election. And while there would've been initial chaos in picking a Trump successor, there would have been plenty of time to coalesce behind whomever the R's picked. And that unnamed candidate would have a ton of ammunition to to attack the left while waving Trump's proverbial bloody shirt. Short term issues, but long term, Trump becomes a martyr to rally behind.

Meanwhile, the knee jerk reaction has been very anti-left. Despite the fact that as of right now, it seems like the shooter was a mentally ill, lone wolf guy who may lean to the right, the attempt itself has given Trump and the right plenty of ammunition to attack the left (no pun intended).

The assassination attempt has also enraged a portion of the right, who may be out for retribution. I hope this isn't the case, but we've read some, now deleted, posts on this board that is hopefully nothing by hyperbole, and not anything that may be actionable. Had the attempt been successful, and Trump had been killed, there would have been more calls to action to retaliate.

Which leads me to believe that if the shooter had any other desires other than making a name for himself and going out in a blaze of glory, it was a Helter Skelter type situation where he wanted to start the next Civil War. I don't think this is the case, but it's not out of the realm of possibilities.

So, this SS failure took place in spite of an increase in Trump's SS detail due to the alleged assassination threat from Iran?? Really .... none of the additional agents could figure out the "sloped roof"? Are we to believe the SS is as incompetent as the Capital Police? If so .... that's pretty sad.

Conspiracy theorists have to reconcile so many incongruencies.

    Police are supposedly pro Trump.

DEI hires have been the butt of memes regarding secret service and their incompetence exhibited Friday.

Government is incompetent and inefficient and can't get anything right or done in a timely manner.

Yet they believe 9/11, the Baltimore Bridge accident, several school shootings, the assassination attempt on Trump, etc etc all happened without a hitch and without any smoking guns coming forward.

If believing that's ridiculous makes me "sheeple" then bah bah bah.

Conspiracies exist in the George Carlin sense. That I agree but not this fantasy.

But I’m guessing you’d vote for almost anyone over Biden. Many moderates and independents want to vote for someone other than Biden, but under no condition will we vote for Trump. Who do you think would win if Haley ran against Biden? I think it would be a totally landslide.

She also worked for a medical entity. Yoga was her side hustle. I would guess her life is going to change. There was another man who worked for a real estate company who said something similar who was fired in a public statement by the agency. The level of vitriol is scary.

So much for toning it down

I still think that once the dust settles, the Pub choice (provided it was not an extremist like Lake) to run would cakewalk over Biden. But, thankfully, we’ll never know.

Yeah, dude on a sloped roof that a sniper couldn't dust when he popped up to make a shot? Watched a pod cast by a former SS guy who said most of those 'agents' were fill ins from other agencies.

Not in this case man. I live in the same area as the other poster and I’m betting we are seeing some of the same posts. Some have been from local business and employees of those businesses. They have long history of hating Trump. They aren’t new bot accounts.

One poster here posted he wished the shooter was a better shot, did his account get hacked?
I’m asked him what he meant exactly. We will see what he says.
